Don't buy Hyundai

I recently purchased a 2022 ioniq 5 all electric vehicle. I would never recommend that anyone buy Hyundai cars . I don't have enough space to explain my nightmare Hyundai purchase. So I will start with customer service support stating that we have no control over the Hyundai dealers and if they don't want to repair your Hyundai vehicle, then you are out of luck . WOW . My first week in my new ioniq 5 was interesting as well. I headed to DD for morning coffee, but my Hyundai locked up and the would not start. The display panel stated that I had a main battery and propulsion problem . I called customer service and they said not to drive the car . HaHa lmao. This is just a fraction of the problems I have had with my new Hyundai. A $50,000.00 lawn ornament. So I would not recommend buying a Hyundai .

Great EV

We did extensive research online on youtube including users experiences in all kinds of weather. The Ioniq5 was hands down the favorite. We have owned it 11,000 miles and loved every minute. We get 370 miles / charge in the summer. 250 in the winter. It works well for us.

Love this car! Zoomy, easy, and fun.

Amazing thought, appearance, and value. There are little things we wish for ( rear windshield wiper, battery conditioner, cooled seats), but this car has been reliable, cost effective, fun, exhilarating, and just the go to for 36000 miles in one year. No issues, not a one, did not break, wear, or even have to replace a thing. ( except wiper fluid.. you will use alot of that..lol)

Ioniq 5 car is very roomy, comfortable and high-quality inside, and its appearance is good, but in terms of technology, it is a little behind similar cars.Because of my job, I have trip a lot with people and I want to say that 100% of all of them are satisfied with the ride and 90% of those who intend to buy an electric car have changed their minds and show the desire to buy this car. I am talking about more than 5000 people

Does the EV job

+ It's a good vehicle over all + Comfortable rode - Soundy when it comes - range keeps fluctuate - the back keeps getting noiser - bad integration - no wireless android auto and apple carplay - need more tech - low ground clearance

Great car with problems

Love the looks and how it drives but have had problems with charging, noise from steering wheel, and other smaller things that have soured my experience. A lot of people are reporting ICCU problems, which is what worries me the most.

Great way to experience electric car

Great vehicle and if you want to give electric cars a try you will love this one. Drives so well, quick, lots of space on the inside. Great option for daily driver especially in cities. Driving range is plenty in town but long distance still is an issue at times. Overall very happy with this first electric car I have owned.

Good car but no wireless CarPlay

Every car made in 2022 had wireless CarPlay except for Hyundai. The lumbar support deflates over time. There’s an issue with a potential ICCU failure. Battery precondition doesn’t work below 20%, making it rather useless when we need it most. Otherwise this is a good car.

Mostly great

Incredibly comfortable space to drive in and be in. The infotainment isn't great, but it's fine. Charging speed was amazing before preconditioning in Summer, awful in Winter. After battery preconditioning it's never charged as quickly as it did when new, but at least it charges faster in the cold now. AWD is absurdly quick to accelerate, but doesn't really have the handling to pair. But if you drive it like a normal person it's a wonderful experience, but with the option to punch the accelerator to quickly pass issues on the road.

Love this car

We found ourselves abruptly needing to purchase a new vehicle in spring 2022 and I decided our next car should be an EV. Lots of online research convinced us the Hyundai Ioniq 5 was the one. No regrets on that decision! This car is very comfortable, fun to drive, has a lot of great features, and fast charging/good range.

Car does not work

Drive train poor- does not work At dealer longer than we had a chance to own it, at dealership and they can't figure how to fix it. Biggest lemon I have ever purchased for my fleet of 65 cars. in 38 years of purchasing. Never again.

A few hits, many misses on ioniq5

Multiple issues encountered. A dozen visits to the dealer in the first year. Usb assembly needed replacement. No rear windshield wipers results in terrible visibility during rain. Seat belts rattle and bang against side of vehicle while driving. No OTA updates, requires external hard drive and clunky process. Scheduled charging is inconsistent, which resulted in an uncharged vehicle on the morning of a roadtrip. Tap to lock/unlock doors works inconsistently. Cheap trim finish, carpet panels on the back seat fell off due to glue becoming ineffective in the heat. Cool looking car, fun to drive an EV, but hyundai is trying to punch above their weight class and failing.

okay

it's alright, not worth what I paid. should be more of a luxury vehicle with less issues than it currently has. poor quality build compared to what I paid for the vehicle. feel like I overpaid due to the fact that it was a popular vehicle. now it isn't as popular and I can see why.

Excellent vehicle

Delighted with it after 1 year. Acceleration is thrilling in sport mode. Fuel costs are down dramatically. Storage space is good(except for the tiny "frunk"). The matte finish paint looks good, but is a pain to maintain. The sound system is excellent. The ride is very comfortable because of the wheel base.

15k miles in, still pretty darn good

Pros: good build quallity, spacious, good ride, fast, standout styling. Cons: teething issues (ICCU fuse), no rear wiper, headlights could be brighter, no wireless CarPlay, wheel wells in back a bit incovenient for storage. It's been a good, compact family hauling car for us. Several seamless roadtrips.

Best for practicality and pizzazz, can support a family and still looks straight out of Bladerunner

Quietest and most spacious car I've ever ridden in, it really feels luxury without the luxury price. Extremely useful for a family; lots of trunk space, "quiet mode" for sleeping kids, V2L for camping/emergencies. Very low maintenance, pretty much just tires, air filter, and brakes. If left charging overnight you get good amount of range even on a normal wall outlet (~18 miles after only 5 hours) so you probably won't even have to use fast chargers. Real world range I get is 240 miles on a full charge, safely have taken multiple multi-hour drives across the midwest without any issue. In my opinion, by far the best all-rounder EV, definitely feels like it'll last wherever my life goes the next 10 years

If I can charge from 10-80% in 18 mins as advertised, I would LOVE this car

Charging anxiety is the problem here. Most of the time I'm only getting 90kw charging rate or less, and that usually costs me about 40 minutes per charging session to go from 20-80%. I live 12 minutes from the closest EA charger, and when they're broken, I have to drive 15 mins away. I see Teslas have no such problems with their established infrastructure. I will probably go with a Tesla in the near future.

Best Car Ever

This is the best car ever created! There are a few minor issues, but they are hardly worth mentioning! Owning a car like this is a huge step change in lifestyle. Hoping to plug into the Tesla charge network soon because the Electrocute America network brings one back to earth at each recharge.

Great vehicle

Fun to drive and best driving range for an electric vehicle. Them Beautiful design. Fast charging and very functional and comfortable interior. Quick response for a RWD vehicle. Definitely needs the battery preconditioning feature to be improved.
