Overall fun vehicle

Great vehicle fun to drive. But if you care about the resale avoid this at all cost. Car went from 48,000 to about 17,000$ in less then 2 years and about 42 000 miles. If the resale isn't a concern it's actually a great car.

Quite enjoyable and fun

The ionic five performs excellently in all the various functions that you expect. Is very comfortable and stylish and fits my needs very well. It’s very fun to drive easy to charge either at home and away.

2 years, nearly 35,000 miles. Still love it.

A very comfortable road car. Smooth, quiet, fast and comfortable. Very fast charging if/when you can find a 350 kW charger open and working. Even with the stock all season tires this car deals with mountain snow wonderfully, just put it in "snow mode" and away you go. I am struggling to find something to complain about on the car. I guess the only annoyance is that I need to use the key fob control to remotely move the car in and out of our garage and sometimes the car is a bit finicky about having enough clearance to move into the garage. Definitely a "first world problem".

A wonderful car

As soon as I test drove this car, I said this is the car for me. I had test driven other electrics, but this was far and away the best. It has performed extremely well, the range is excellent, and the ride is very smooth and quiet.

Best Car I have ever owned

My words can not describe how happy I have been with this car . I've had it for almost 2 years. Only been in the factory service bay twice. Each for a software update. Car is fantastic on all fronts. I could go on forever but needless to say there is a reason this won World Car of the Year award in 2022 when it came out. If you are considering an all electric crossover, you should check it out. And finally they are discounting them after a long while of dealer markups.

Love It

The vehicle is very fun to drive. Very performance is very responsive and it has amazing safety features. My favorite is the blind spot cameras that turn on while using the turn signals. the cargo space is good as well and the whole family loves the car.

Voted World's best car of 2022 and 2023!

We only experienced a small increase in electrical usage because we prepared for the Ionic 5 with solar/battery back up. It took a little while to get the charging rate set correctly as we use a medium grade charger. Otherwise, the vehicle itself performs way beyond expectations. We love it!

Great EV

This car is fun, useful, reliable, and well worth the price. I have gotten many unsolicited comments on its looks and performance. I find it a very calming car to drive - virtually no vibration, almost no noise.

My favorite Gizmo

I love driving this car. The acceleration, the "gizmology" is state of the art. The cameras help while driving, parking, backing up. I use the cruise control features even while in town traffic. i am proud of the looks I get, but that is not why i bought the car. My son (who has a Tesla,) borrows my Ionic when I let him!

a perfect car in almost every way but that doesn't compensate for a dangerous design flaw

Extremely pleased with every aspect of this vehicle EXCEPT a visablity issue. The issue is such that I would not recommend the vehicle and am very concerned driving. The angle of the back window is such that dust accumulates on it continuously. When it rains, it is actually impossible to see out the back thru the rearview mirror or by turning around. This is an extremely dangerous condition. I am afraid to drive in any rain, particularly at night.

Transportation for the 21st Century

I love this car. There are a couple minor things that could be better-it really needs a rear wiper. I wish the shoulder belt wouldn’t move toward my neck so much. Overall it is wonderful and I hope it becomes more popular when they start building them in Georgia.

Nice but EV’s pose challenges

Enjoy car. Nicest I’ve ever owned. But EV is a major adjustment. Range much more limited than gas cars. Compound that with uneven distribution and availability of charging and use for any travel can be stressful. Would consider recommending but only to someone who would also own a gas car.

A near perfect Fit

This was the first new car we ever purcahsed and the dealership provided a fantastic experience. Wanted an ev with large interior room, cargo space and 275-300 mile range, quick charging and semi-autonomous driving features. The Ioniq 5 hit all of these points and we stayed within our budget. I won't say it is aperfect car, but it fit our situation almost perfectly!!

Good vehicle to start

Good vehicle to start but after half a year it started to have squeaky noises when braking and at steering wheel. Not much help when brought to dealership to fix. They said everything was “green” when in fact the noises still remain.

Outstanding

I love my ioniQ5. It rides very smoothly and has plenty of room. I can go a full week before recharging it. There is no noise from the engine so I can just enjoy my tunes on the radio. And finally, it is a lot of fun to drive!

Very pleased with my purchase after one year. This is my first electric car. The fast charging is a definite plus, especially considering the two years of free charging with the purchase, the electric vehicle’s fast acceleration is the most significant operational change from a gas powered vehicle.p

I love my Ioniq 5

Best electric SUV in my opinion. The fast charging is best in class. The unique styling and roomy interior makes it a pleasure for every day driving. The range is excellent and I love the cost savings and convenience of not using gas. Other than some convenience features I wish it had. I am very satisfied.

Charging vehicle disaster

Vehicle shuts down usually in the first 1/2 hour of charging causing me to constantly check to see if it is charging. It usually takes at least 4 restarts before vehicle is fully charged. This has happened with multiple level 2 chargers. There are no moldings and car takes unnecessary hits in parking lots. No roof rack available. when I bought the car the salesperson told me it would be shortly available.
