Great EV

We really love our Ioniq 5. It handles great in the snow, has excellent range and charging, and aside from being an ev, is just a nicely built, sturdy, comfortable car. There are a few issues that could be addressed, such as no rear windshield wiper or even sprayer and no way to protect the backup camera from getting dirty or cleaning it. But aside from that, probably the best ev in it’s size segment. Doesn’t have tesla charging network, it charges faster anyway and is an objectively finer automobile, no terrible hollow crashing ride like the model 3 and model y we rented.

Best EV for the money

It offer the best EV for people who want to transition from gas to electric. It doesn't omit all the simple buttons and knobs for a minimalist design like the Tesla because a lot of controls are better with the traditional ways. You don't need to search in the touch screen. In a Tesla you need to take your eyes off the road and look down sideways to use the touch screen. The AR Head up display is the best feature in the Ioniq 5 as i can keep my eyes on the road. The seats and ride is comfortable for city and long trip without sacrificing performance. The EV charge fast as advertised by using the free Electrified America fast charging stations during my long trip. And my wife made me a fresh brew coffee using the 1500w AC charger under the rear seats during our long trip at the charging station. It's an amazing EV.

Very fun car to drive. Love the styling of the car, the width, depth and roominess. Not enough reliable DC fast charging stations for road trips. You charge more frequently when the weather is colder, you charge more frequently during elevation gains charging could be faster in colder climates if the vehicle had a battery preconditioning and a heat pump.

Great daily driver, just wish it had a rear wiper

Finally replaced my old hybrid hatchback with the full electric of my dreams. Ride is really smooth, sound system is decent, seats are comfortable. My biggest gripe is the lack of rear wiper. I can't see clearly out the back when it rains.

Almost perfect....

Drives better, quieter, more performance, better tech, than the Mercedes we traded in (M Series). Great design in and out. Good audio, tons of tech and safety. Lots of space. Fast charging, excellent city range. Definitely worth looking into if you are looking for an EV.

Amazing vehicle

A culmination of excellent engineering and imagination. This car is has everything you need and none of what you don’t. Great media center and amazing power and speed. Excellent interior room coupled with a look like no others. It’s a real head-turner!

Ioniq 5 2022

The car is a great car. However, I was taken back when had issues before the year wa up and had to have it repaired. The repair took 7 days for the dealer to fix the problem. I am also disappointed with the small amount of charging stations when traveling.

Quiet, comfortable, responsive

This car is fun to drive, plus it’s good-looking and technologically advanced. At home base, this car and my house are powered 100 percent by solar energy. I hope the charging infrastructure across the nation improves. If it does, I’ll be driving this car a lot on road trips.

Great car all around.

The best EV out there in my estimation considering price, range, cargo capacity, recharge time, and comfort. It's very fun to drive; the pickup is amazing. You feel very safe in the car because you can accelerate quickly to merge or pass. You feel good because you're not polluting and spending lots on gas.

Reasonable value for money

I would have given a better review if it weren't for the dealer charging a $5000 markup and including such useless things as nitrogen fill for the tires. Overall the Ioniq 5 was a provided reasonable value for the price I paid - would have been better without the COVID markup. See rest of review for details

Car is great with a flaw

The Ioniq 5 is a great car, looks great and an amazing option as electric vehicle. But it has a big flaw, it wont charge as advertised during cold weather because is not equipped with a battery pre conditioning heater. So if you are running low battery during cold weather be prepared to spend hours in a "fast DC charger" and days if charging from home. Apparently the new ioniq 2023 are equipped with the pre conditioning heater but those who bought the 2022, we are screwed.

Fabulous car!

Absolutely love my Ioniq5. Great range, drive extremely well, roomy, powerful, reliable, just fantastic. We have done over 10000 miles with the car and it has been flawless. A joy to drive everyday.

Excellent with a few quirks

Overall, I love the quiet and smooth ride, the responsive handling and steering, and the bold exterior and thoughtful interior design. It's miles ahead of competitors and fantastic value at its price point.

Great car at a great value.

A unique styling with next level charging capabilities. This is great EV that I would feel comfortable taking on road trips as well as my daily driver. Interior has more space than I expected and I am very happy with the reliability of this car thus far.

Perfect First Car Purchase

I have enjoyed driving the IONIQ 5 for the past year. No more stopping for gas, I can charge at home. The EV charging station is still not the same convenience as gas is, however the ability to charge at home makes up for it. The vehicle itself has everything I need to have a modern driving experience; touchscreen, Bluetooth, remote start. The vehicle is great upgrade from my previous 2007 vehicle.

Excellent Ev at an affordable price

After a year with the vehicle, it will rival almost anything on the road. I only wish it had a rear wiper blade. Other than that, near perfect. Excellent range, extremely comfortable and well built.

Love my Ioniq 5

My Ioniq 5 bring exceptional value and features all in a exterior design that is nothing on the road at the moment..the design team at Hyundai hit it way out of the park with this car. My only gripe is no wireless Apple CarPlay(defeats the point of having wireless phone charging) and no OTA update in such a high tech car doesn’t make sense.
