Excellent service and a great subcompact vehicle

Great friendly service and fast. I love my Kona it is very economical on fuel. The back seats can move down for more room when packing for camping, etc. It has style and its quiet and comfortable to drive. It was very cost effective choice for me.

Had issues with transmission

From driving the Kona out of dealership the faulty transmission was a problem. Parts were replaced two times and there still was an issue. The third time the auto would not engage in any gear and was towed back to the dealer. Auto is extremely noisy when driving. You can hardly hear the radio. Indicated to dealer on first service that auto hesitates on first acceleration but told it takes a while to breakin. Gave up since I have been driving for 62 years and felt they were lying to me.

Pretty car but bad publicity and mediocre service after the sale

This is a pretty car. It is responsive, gets good mileage (35 plus) and it is smooth when changing lanes/ parking. At 36000 miles, there have been no major repairs. However, it's the same year as the models that are getting stolen, and my insurance went up 30 percent because of that. Problems scheduling services under warranty, exaggeration at the time of the sale about the "scratch/ding removal" policy, and being quoted an outrageous amount for a simple bulb replacement means that Hyundai is not on my list for when I trade in this car.

Peppy and reliable

This car is reliable and really goes when you need it to. The seats and interior are comfortable and good looking. The sound system is just right for my needs (and I am a music lover) It feels like luxury at a budget price. The cargo space is a little small but I did not notice that at purchase.

after purchasing brand new noticed had engine issues

has issues with engine, when trying to accelerate the car tugs and RPM goes up to 5 sometimes 6, doesn't matter weather condition, time or number of people in the car. even driving normally on the street the engine tugs, happens at whenever and regularly

For me this vehicle is perfect. Not a lot of bells & whistles so I won't get distracted

I use my vehicle for art shows & I have no problem getting everything in with the seats down. I use every inch of space. I like a vehicle that is reliable & this works for me. I find the service department always takes care of my needs

Great EV

EXCELLENT JOB

Sick ride

2021 model is soooooo Nice looking. I have the 2.0, and it feels decently quick, and I LOOOOOVE the dct transmission, coupled with the shifttronic. Headlights are bright and easy to change. Car is very quiet on average, and only makes noise when glong above 2000 rpms. Even then it's relatively quiet.

Better Than I Expected For the Price

I tried out many makes and models of cars, old, new, large and small before I bought my brand new Kona. The first thing I noticed was how quiet and nicely finished the car is. On the test drive it held the curves and felt wonderfully solid. I was surprised at the engine response and the smoothness of the handling. After having it for several months I began to appreciate the high mileage. And when I had to move a lot of items from the storage unit, I was amazed at how much I could get into what seemed to be a small car! I've been driving the car for two years and it has never let me down. Best of all, it was the least expensive car I test drove, even compared to the used cars. I LOVE my Kona!
