Kona 2020

I LOVE this car. It is the perfect size for my life style. Being able to carry around a ton of stuff but small enough to drive easily around cities. If I could rate it higher i would.

Not Good?

Not Good ever since we bought it problems and everything it runs good but just to much problems that i been dealing with because we talked to another person that had one and its just one year older then mine and he said they had problems too with the tranmission and other things too and so he had to put money into... but yeah and its to small to but anything in the back too. ?

2nd Kona in 6 years

Although prices have gone up, you can't beat the quality of this vehicle. Fun and zippy and most importantly reliable. This is the second Kona we are purchasing in the past six years. Car is perfect for mid size built people and fits almost everything.

My Kona is a great small fun car

I loved this lease most of all of my leases. This car was great. I liked the small size for parking, all of the bells and whistles especially the stereo sound and the heated seats! The ac climate control also a plus!

Issues with motor

I wanted to love my 2020 Kona SE but within the first 5000 miles, it had oil consumption issues leading to me having to get a brand new motor under warranty. I got a loaner car but was without mine for a month. I bought my car brand new and never expected to have so many issues with it. It may have just been the 2020 model but a lot of time spent at the dealer for several months doing oil consumption tests in order to get the new engine. I still have issues with a loud clunking noise when I do hard right turns only. They cannot figure out what is causing that. Hopefully, the newer models are made better. I love the look and size of it though. I would do your research before purchasing one.

great on gas

Husband got this car new few years ago for his daughter. it is now his daily driver for work. It is great on gas and even with a 45 minute drive to work he only needs to fill up once a week. Seems to have a decent resale value as well.

A great vehicle

I loved my Kona and wished I would have hung onto it. I got talked into trading it for the super expensive Santa cruz. I miss my Kona so much. And I regret trading it in every day and wish I had a time machine.

I love my Kona. :)

I love almost everything about my Kona. The heads up display is an incredible safety feature! Once it is set to your height to make it easy to view, it is incredible! I wish the heads up display was required to be available on every vehicle for safety! The only change I would make is to have a heated steering wheel available. :)

Great Investment

Best body, best gas mileage, and best service team EVER! A smooth ride with an even smoother shift from normal drive to sport drive. Has a good passing gear and an excellent turn radius. Car was built to last!

engine had to be replaced due to oil not getting to the pistons at 31,000 miles not my fault - all recalls were taken care of by Hyundai dealership and all oil changes and tune ups were also taken care of by me at Hyundai ndealerships new engine was covered by warrenty 100 %

Good little vehicle

Good little vehicle, reliable and fun to drive, just wish it was a little roomier, maybe should have bought the Tuscan next time, but definitely can’t complain about it, it’s a good fun little car to drive

Still love my Kona

My vehicle still drives well. Gas is responsive, steering is still tight, and handles well. All of the components are still working like new. My exterior has stood up to road trips through the woods and the Yukon. I drive regularly in the snow and ice and it handles great.

Oil consumption

This should not consume oil in between 5000 mile oil changes . I feel like any new car should not have to have the oil checked on a regular basis. My family has had 4 other Hyundai/kia cars in the past none with oil consumption.

Once again, the handling of the factory engine recall was a nightmare.

No more words to say, this is taking too much time. Not sure why I have to write 200 words just to waste more time on this issue just so my review will go through. A customer should NEVER have to pay out of their own pocket for a rental because of a factory recall on an ENGINE. The amount of inconvenience I had to go through during the oil consumption tests was insane. Thank God I recognized the car was having issues before the factory recall letter came in. I had a brand new car burning oil and an insane rate.

Love this car, has some giddy up! Good design. Smooth ride and comfortable seats. Seat warmers are wonderful after a long stressful day at work. Sound system is good. The turbo give you a little extra lick when you need it

When you call the dealership after the sale, you’re nobody!Placed on hold until you hang up, no one calls you back, you go in for a simple I’ll change and they find many false things wrong with the car with outrageous prices .

Good car for lower price

The Kona is a fun car to drive with top of the line features. The only con is the interior space. There is not a lot of head room. It is not suitable for larger people. The safety features are also great!
