Comfortable, Quick, Spacious and Easy to Live With

The 2026 Hyundai IONIQ 5 has been an excellent vehicle so far. The cabin is spacious, comfortable and remarkably quiet, making it enjoyable for both everyday driving and longer trips. Acceleration is immediate and strong, but the car still feels smooth, controlled and easy to drive. The interior design is modern and practical, with plenty of passenger room and useful technology. Charging speed and driving range have also met my expectations, especially when charging at home. The exterior styling is distinctive without sacrificing practicality. Some of the technology and controls take a little time to learn, and the public charging experience can depend on the station, but neither has significantly affected my opinion of the vehicle. Overall, the IONIQ 5 combines comfort, performance, space and useful features better than almost any vehicle I considered.

Has been good after a rough start

Bought the vehicle and had a faulty external temperature sensor that needed to be replaced. A couple weeks later it went out and was told to be a faulty wiring harness. Haven’t had any issues sense but has made me worried about potential future issues.

Love my new car! Except the door handles LOL.

I love almost everything about my new car. It's fun to drive, it has great features, the display is really easy to use, the Bluelink app is great, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE not having to pay for gas. My only complaint is the silly motorized door handles. I've pinched my fingers several times and they are more annoying than cool. PLEASE get rid of them in the newer models.

I love my Ioniq 5!

This is our first EV. We were interested but trepidatious. We now declare that we will ALWAYS own an EV. This is our second Hyundai (the first being a Palisade) and we have loved them both. Great cars, but the IONIQ is now the favorite. It handles amazingly well, is fun to drive, easy to charge comfortable and surprisingly roomy.

Outstanding EV with Excellent Performance

I have been very pleased with my 2026 Hyundai IONIQ 5. The ride is comfortable, the acceleration is impressive, charging is fast, and the overall driving experience has exceeded my expectations. Love the car

2 items would like addressed Climate controls are dimly lit. Hard to very hard to see in direct sunlight or with sunglasses. Our previous ioniq 5 had a dedicated climate control page on the touchscreen display. For some reason this has been removed

Electric White Cloud

My first Ioniq 5 was in 2023 SE, then I traded it for a 2026 with an upgrade. The improvements are worth the upgrade and going back to the Ioniq 5. It has a beautiful white interior and exterior and a sun roof with a auto-slide cover. This mini-SUV is fully functional for our family that includes adult children, and 2 mini and 1 large fur babies. In my opinion, this is the best EV out there right now of this size.

Great car, fun to drive, economical, looks great.

Seems like more Cons below than pros. Truth is I love the car. Glad I bought instead of leasing, we are putting WAY to many miles on it for a lease. I think it's one of the best looking cars. It's fun to drive and comfortable. Been economical so far too. I don't know on reliability, haven't had it long enough but this review is forcing me to choose.

Average car for a median price

Great $0 down option for those looking to go electric. Compared to Tesla, the features dont even come close... the infotainment system and vehicle controls need a lot of work.

Love this car. Couple of issues that I don’t like

Love this car. It’s quite comfortable nice power even with the rwd only. Fit and finish is great with the exception of the rear passenger door sometimes rubbing into the front door but only in the extreme heat. Other than that electric is the way to go. Ioniq all the way

A Joy to Drive

I’m very happy with my 2026 Ionic5. It has been a learning curve since it is my first EV model, but well worth the effort. The seats are exceptionally comfortable with lots of adjustments and I particularly like the feature which supports my lower legs. It’s easy to enter and exit the vehicle. It’s very responsive and fun to drive. The visibility front and back windows is exceptional.
