I love my Hyundai. I knew I wanted a car that had a plug in hybrid. I test drove a Hybrid model at a dealership in Nebraska when the weather wasn’t the best. The moment I sat in the car I knew it was my car. I had never felt more comfortable in a vehicle than the Tucson. Unfortunately, Nebraska did not have Plug in Hybrids so I began the search and started chatting with dealerships in Oregon and Colorado. The day I graduated I got a call from McDonald Hyundai in CO and they told me the first buyer backed out, so I hopped into my dad’s car and we drove 8hrs to buy the car the next day. Fast forward, my dad needed a new car 2 months later and i convinced him to get the new Santa Fe. We both have been super happy with our purchases. I am now in Arizona with my vehicle saving so much money on gas driving about 65 miles each day to work. This is the best car ever! (Actually, it would be even better if I had wireless CarPlay!!)

Love my car

Good car, glitchy tech

My first plug in, this car is a nice compromise with electric and gas, wish it had a bit more all-electric range. The gas tank capacity is a little undersized for my liking, but it's just a "big car" mentality and takes getting used to. Trouble with the tech, especially setting up multiple users of the car with different profiles. Car should know which keyfob is being used and select the proper profile. Occasionally switches by itself to the wrong profile when Bluelink digital key is used. Very hard to get the digital key recognize via NFC. The tech makes it less stressful to drive long distances, especially highway, and with stop-and-go traffic.

Pretty happy with our car

Not impressed with Apple CarPlay. Very disappointed with door locking changes from previous model. Wish there was lumbar support on passenger side.

Great SUV, minor bugs

Had Tu son PHEV one year and very satisfied. The steering wheel squeaks, and of course the dealership can’t reproduce it. Also some plastic guards are pealing off the rear bumper. But overall this is a great vehicle.

It's just too big

I find this car too large for me to get in and out easily. I don't like the pick up. Actually, I look forward to either trading it in or coming to the end of my lease.

Great MPG!

I really like the Tuscon PHEV. It has all the bells and whistles I was looking for, i.e., big screen navigation, bluetooth link with my phone, flat storage area when rear seats are down, and it's a plug-in hybrid with great gas mileage. 98 mpg on the latest tank specifically! I have 3 annoying items about the car. 1 - The charging port is too exposed to rain or snow; the cover to the actual port hangs outside the car and gets wet. The entire charging port should be inset inside the car another 3-4 inches to allow the port cover to rest inside when not in use. 2 - The instructions for the infotainment system is only available digitally. This is probably a generational thing, since I don't want to use gas to power the car, while trying to read the manual to find out how to do something. 3 - When following a route guidance's directions I've learned not to touch the screen. Doing so moves your destination to the point you touched on the screen. All I wanted to do was to shrink the map down so I could see the bigger picture. None of these items would have prevented me from buying the car. They're just annoying.
