Good vehicle overall. I’ve had some engine issues which is why I didn’t say it was an amazing car. Service department had exceptional customer service. I also don’t like the auto adjusting climate control. It changes during inconvenient times.

CPO has issues in under a year. Dealership takes 5+ days to diagnose

I was very happy with my 2023 Tucson PHEV CPO until, a year into ownership, the AC stopped working. Three local dealerships told me the one technician who can diagnose the AC is in their shop only a couple of days a week and that they would need to keep the car for 5 days or more to even get a diagnosis, and then wait for another 5 days to possibly get it repaired. None of them offered loaners either. As it is massively inconvenient to be without a car for 10 days, it's taken over a month and three attempts to get my car into the dealership in the middle of summer to get the AC fixed. (It's not fixed yet!) The other time I needed service at the dealership was for an oil change that took 4 hours, even with an appointment. So, the car is great until it fails, because Hyundai dealerships, at least in my area, will make you regret having bought it. FWIW, I owned a Mazda for 14 years and their service was impeccable - I brought the car in, drove away in a loaner, and got a call back within 1-3 days to pick up my serviced (and washed) car. Zero hassle! And for about the same price Hyundai charges for their nonsense... Buyer's remorse for sure.

Excellent value for money, latest Tech!!

Shopped other Japanese brands and they Korean Texh was more up to date. The limited version had the lane keeping assist and adaptive cruise control. Went on 4500 Mike national parks trip and enjoyed every curve and corner.

I enjoy almost everything about this vehicle.

I enjoy almost everything about this vehicle. The vehicle is packed with features that I find helpful however I feel the software and or sensors, for some of these features should be better, so that the safety features perform better and are more reliable.

Decent car with some flaws.

So recently I had troubles with ac system. What i think placement of compressor is to exposed, grille in front does look cool but compressor is taking hit and prone to damages, am glad I had warranty on it because out of pocket would have been financially bad for me, now wondering that should I keep the car or sell it once warranty is over.

Hyunia Tucson 2023

Excellent vehicle which meets my needs, especially good for hauling my bicycle. Comfortable and easy to drive. Turning radius could be better. Tends to lose charge in its 12 volt battery which has required jumping to start car if left undriven for a week or more. Problem solved with trickle charger but I don't think that should be needed.

Suspension Engineer Reviews Hyundai Tuscon PHEV

A very comfortable solid ride. Car has slight audible tire noise problem on certain surfaces. Somehow the road noise (during highway driving) is working its way through the suspension and into the passenger compartment. Body flexure (torsion mode) seems fine. Very little noise transmission through steering column & steering wheel. Nice job on suspension, might suggest control arm bushings be slightly softer, but I am not willing to sacrifice control to get there. I run mostly in Economy mode for driving. Car can be a bit sluggish when accelerating from a dead stop. Tends to start out and hesitate before engaging. Could be because I am driving in Economy mode. Nice job on the car overall.

Good driveability, love the 33 miles of electric driving, but more repairs than should be the norm in a 2 year old auto.

Great car!

So far, everything is great. Sure wish it had more ev duration, but as I only drive locally, I’m running around 300+ miles per gallon so to speak. Right now, I have 800 miles since last fill and I have only used 1/4 of gas tank! That said, if I drive on the highway at all, the battery drains quickly and then the miles per gallon plummets to “meh”.

Where Luxury and Fuel Efficiency intersect

I absolutely love our Tucson PHEV. We don't have to worry about running out of our electric miles because we can easily go Hybrid on gas. We also rarely go beyond 30 miles so we fill our tank with gas maybe once every 6-8 weeks, saving us so much money.

Great visibility and handling. Comfortable. My only issues have been with non-intuitive controls, the failure of a part that allowed the car to recharge the battery (now replaced), and some goofy my Hyundai messages- 53, 000 miles until the next needed fill up?

Our rating for 2023 Hyundai Tuscan hybrid

Overall, excellent value for the money. Quiet, comfortable ride, with quite good mileage. All systems function well. Our only problem has been that the car is not storing Bluelink commands. (We can command it, but the car does not consistently 'remember' settings.)
