Good car

I like my Hyundai Sonata, it has lots of bells and whistles, like my heated and cooled seats and heated steering wheel which is great on those cold mornings! The only complaint I have is that it’s gutless, especially when the a/c is running! It feels like it doesn’t want to go when stopping and going again! Other than that it’s a pretty good car!

In general, we lease to have a safe and reliable vehicle. We’ve leased Sonatas before with no issue. With this car, we’ve had 4 failed fuel injectors and the Cadillac converter had to be replaced. These were just the bigger issues and doesn’t include the other issues that came up because of the aforementioned items. There were several months that we weren’t able to use this vehicle due to the repairs. Additionally, when the fuel injectors failed, it was at anytime and anyplace. One such incident occurred while I was driving on the highway with my two girls in the backseat. The car went from 70 mph down to 25mph unexpectedly. Needless to say, has not been reliable or safe for the much of the time that we’ve had this vehicle.

TERRIBLE

Worst car EVER. I have been stranded three times - all for the same reason: FUEL INJECTOR. Cannot wait to return the damn car.

Paint issues

When I bought this car, there were issues with missing paint on the trunk area. The dealer repainted the affected areas. However, I feel there may have been more issues with the paint application that were not immediately recognizable. The hood of my 2 year old car is peppered with little paint chips that are now exposing primer. I do not believe this to be normal wear and tear. My 2009 Corolla (which I bought used) and sold when I purchased my Sonata had way fewer paint chips. When your car doesn't look good on the outside, it doesn't matter that the inside looks fantastic.
