Powerful sedan with average looks.
I am the second owner of this 2000 Hyundai Sonata GLS. I inherited this car from Florida from a family member in 3/2015. The lack of winters that this car experienced has allowed me to really find-out how great of a car it is. The exterior has not had any corrosive damage that northern climates release onto on-road vehicles. The dash board display has RPM (revolutions per minute) meter. When I smash the fuel-accelerator with 75-90% downward-force this car almost leaps off its front wheel and I can feel the engine compartment shack-rattle-and-roll. V6 power is highly exhilarating! It is not a Lamborghini Diablo or Countach-fast getting onto the freeway. However, regular driving on city roads, this Hyundai sedan is blistering fast off a red-light stop. The original Hyundai stereo, even being 17 years old, is loud, with great treble and bass, and great for classical, rock-n-roll, easy listening, Compact Disc (CD) or AM talk radio, including sports radio. The headlights I really don't care for. If the headlamp covers where glass I would like them a LOT more. But, plastic lens covers haze-up which destroys the aesthetic appearance. The trunk space is huge. Overall, this car-machine I place a 4.15 out of a five. If her headlights were more stylish I would grace this awesome car with a 5:5 ratio or something like that!
