Love my Santa Fe

We drove a Tucson and then wanted something bigger so we test drove a Santa Fe. We love the extra space especially when we travel.

everything I needed

When I traded in my Genisis I thought about the G70 SUV, but it wasn't big enough and cost more than I could spend. I had seen the new design of the Santa Fe on TV and gave it a test drive. It has all the room I need and has a powerful 4 cylinder engine. It drives and feels like a car, very comfortable and handles well. I don't even know I'm in an SUV, and the price was right. I'm very happy with my choice, and the new body style has more room than I require.

Pleasantly surprised by my Santa Fe!

Much better handling than I anticipated. Very comfortable for a tall man and the features are very nice.

It’s good

I can’t say great because the automatic window gets stuck and have to push down a couple times to get it to work. At times there is a significant hesitation when the accelerator is pressed. The service department deters you from asking to have it checked because they meant to charge you $150-200 just to check it out. It’s ridiculous.

Gorgeous to look at but the quality is trash.

I’m not sure if all computers built this but it’s made like they cut 100 corners! The media sucks, don’t connect to my phone half the time, the display goes black sometimes or won’t change the display and get stuck, my 2 row seating keeps falling down and the other side is stuck and won’t move. The back up camera stays on long after I have started driving most times. The six is nice to look at but the quality is lacking and seems like they cut corners to produce it.

You get what you pay for

I’ve had weird issues with this car. It had to go in for service multiple times in the first 90 days I had it for issues ranging from the locks not working, to all of the emergency warnings popping up (which basically shut the car down) and everything in between. I was in a position where I needed a car and decided to get this one because it was the cheapest of the models I was interested in. Frankly I wish I would’ve gone with something else

Great family car w/ room for improvement

I love the size of the vehicle, the reclining seats in all three rows, the accent lighting, and the parking cameras. However, we've experienced a couple of major issues that have made me dislike the vehicle and wish I had chosen something else. The first issue is the touchscreen. We live in upstate New York, and during the winter the touchscreen doesn't work at all when it's cold outside. That means we can't use the seat warmers, heated steering wheel, defrost controls, or other climate settings until the screen starts responding, which can be a long wait. It's extremely frustrating, especially on cold mornings when those features are most needed. The second, and much bigger, issue is the power-folding buttons for the second-row seats. When my daughter climbs in and out of the vehicle, she accidentally bumps the button, causing the seat to start folding. It has nearly knocked her to the ground while she was getting out. Even more concerning, one time she accidentally pressed the button while my 4-year-old niece was still buckled into her booster seat in the second row. The seat immediately began folding with her still strapped in. She was screaming, and we couldn't get the seat to stop folding. Fortunately, I was able to get her out in time, but it was a very frightening experience. I consider this a serious safety concern. I previously owned a Volvo with power-folding seats, like this car, the seats move slowly vs. a quick release button, which would be faster and safety, and more dependable. I still can't get the seats to work properly when I push the button, sometimes the seats leans back and I struggle to get it in the position I need to get to the back row. In comparison, I actually prefer the third-row seats in this vehicle because they recline and fold in a way that gives me more control rather than relying on an electric motor.

I love my Santa Fe

I love so many things about the Santa Fe. The technology, the looks, the interior, the height above the ground. The only thing I do not like is the lack of power.
