Santa Fe Could Be Improved

I have owned the Santa Fe for 2 1/2 years. The SUV is better looking than the new Santa Fe. The good things about the car are the size compared to Toyota and Mazda. The price was good. The problems that I have had with this SUV unfortunately would keep me from buying another Hyundai. I have had the horn assembly replaced four times now. Very scary situation when yo need the horn and it doesn’t work. The seals around the door have been a problem. Recently replaced so we will see how long they last. The “pinging’ in the engine is annoying. I have purchased gas at Shell, Costco, Speedway and all of them seem to cause pinging. It almost sounds like a diesel. The wireless phone charger works intermittently so it has zero value to me. Unfortunately my model does not have wireless car play. I will never buy another car that does not have wireless CarPlay. I have used the after market product and it works just OK

Decent SUV - Some Warts

This is a decent SUV. Size is very good and it is comfortable to drive and to sit in for long stretches. No issues to report other than dealer problems when getting scheduled service. We want to love this vehicle, and it's close, but a couple of niggles drags it down. 1) Whoever designed the Audio/Nav system needs to be fired. The sound from a bunch of speakers is just okay but could be so much better. The system allows each "user" to save just 6 presets. Huh? YES, 6 PRESETS!! We save more than 6 just on local radio stations, let alone adding XM stations. What a joke!! 2) This is not a quiet SUV. Road noise is intrusive with factory tires. Under acceleration, the noise is disturbing. Our vehicle was nearly $50k MSRP. You would think that Hyundai would get a bit better insulation to alleviate, primarily, the road noise. 3) Not good fuel mileage at all for a 4 cylinder turbo. We get 22-23 in town and 26-27 on the highway, from a 4 cylinder!! Good grief, in todays world, Hyundai can't do better than that? We've owned v-6's that did better than this rig. Regarding service work. Went to the local dealer for scheduled service. Dealer did their inspection and checked off on multiple items indicating good, etc. Except thay did not check the air filters, both cabin and motor, because when we checked them later, they were really dirty and should have been changed. So now, what, am I supposed to cross-check everything to ensure they've done the work? Stand in the repair bay to verify that they performed the service? Dealer response was also tepid and not what I expected in any way.

Just a great car--rides fantastic--my 5th one.

Cr is beautiful--prefer the lines of the 23 and do not like the 24 body change. After owning five of these and two at a time--I will not be buying the new body style and will change in March 27.

This car saved my life

This was a great venue. In March of 2025 a person ran a stop sign and i collided with them and every airbag deployed and kept me alive. The car did its job in an accident.

It’s aight

My Santa Fe has a lot of bells and whistles, but it truly lacks power and the transmission is not good. Shifting from one year to another is extremely rough and the acceleration is average at best. But it is affordable and it looks nice and it does have a lot of safety features that are good to have when you have teen drivers.

Overall it is a great vehicle. I would DEFINITELY change where the blinkers are on the rear of the vehicle, as I have almost gotten rearended almost daily, sonce I bought it.

Two draw backs one the cylinder motor is a dog no power at all. Two i think the interior seats are jist ok different material that's for sure.

Great Vehicle

Runs well. Gas mileage and choice of driving mode make short, long, all terrain drive pleasurable. Cabin and back room is very accommodating for people and cargo. This is a very well rounded vehicle and fits the bill for upscale and rougher work environments.
