I might very well, not buy another Hyundai ever again
We had a maybe 7 year old Hyundai Santa Fe that we traded in in 2023. We possibly might’ve had the best car ever in that car.. We had zero issues and we made the mistake of trading him on a 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe. Right from the very first we had issues with knocking with banging noises. We have electrical issues, but one of the issues that we have been experiencing a lot worse now is the warping of the rotors and brake pads. Including the times that I have gone in to the dealership and the times where we have dropped our car off and been very much inconvenienced because there were no cars to lend us. We have at the car in several times for warped rotors. They have taken a lot of the life out of our rotors because the sooner we get them fixed then we find out a week later that our rotors are warping again. And insinuations have been made by customer care that it is us. Well, we had a seven year old Hyundai Santa Fe that had the original brakes on it and in all the many years we have been married we have never replaced brakes or brake pads because we know how to drive. They have taken a good majority of the life out of these rotors by turning them as many times as they have and and they will not replace them because they are a hair above the minimum accepted measurement. Even after having had many conversations with the customer care people, it is clear to me that they do not care about their customers because the last time that my vehicle was in for work was a time where there was another car the same making and model in the year as mine that he had been twice as many times as ours and this is a known problem with Hyundai is the rotors. I have told them that I am fearing for my wife safety in the car because the thinner the rotors get they do not have the capability of shedding heat as well and I have seen rotors come apart. So last several conversations I have had with the rep he has told us because of how many times we’ve been in for this. He is going to get our rotors on our brakes replaced on that Hyundai and then he goes back on his work he’s promised this and several emails. I’ve had conversations with other people. I’ve heard him say this and yet when he tells me that he’s gonna call the dealership and tell them to replace my rotors on my brakes, he must be doing the exact opposite because then I get denial. Does not have our best interest in our safety in mind so I would appreciate it if you would quit saying that there is no skin off of your back. You have the cars that have been affected in this way taken care of instead of lying to your customers through your wraps, which I do not appreciate.. I could not and will not be referring other people to Hyundai after the way that they have treated us and if somebody talks to us about the car, I will share what we have experienced and that is it. Frankly, I wish we never would’ve bought this other Hyundai. I wish we would’ve gone to another brand because this clearly isn’t the same Hyundai that we had before this. And I find it extremely offensive to have insinuated that it could be us as the problem for getting the brakes worked when we in many many many many years of being married have never had to replace rotors or brakes. We’ve had cars and trucks going on a regular basis And we never replaced or had to replace the rotors or brakes and when I asked for a supervisor or a manager of this rep that I can hardly even understand a supervisor or a manager has never felt like we were important enough to give us a call.
