I might very well, not buy another Hyundai ever again

We had a maybe 7 year old Hyundai Santa Fe that we traded in in 2023. We possibly might’ve had the best car ever in that car.. We had zero issues and we made the mistake of trading him on a 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe. Right from the very first we had issues with knocking with banging noises. We have electrical issues, but one of the issues that we have been experiencing a lot worse now is the warping of the rotors and brake pads. Including the times that I have gone in to the dealership and the times where we have dropped our car off and been very much inconvenienced because there were no cars to lend us. We have at the car in several times for warped rotors. They have taken a lot of the life out of our rotors because the sooner we get them fixed then we find out a week later that our rotors are warping again. And insinuations have been made by customer care that it is us. Well, we had a seven year old Hyundai Santa Fe that had the original brakes on it and in all the many years we have been married we have never replaced brakes or brake pads because we know how to drive. They have taken a good majority of the life out of these rotors by turning them as many times as they have and and they will not replace them because they are a hair above the minimum accepted measurement. Even after having had many conversations with the customer care people, it is clear to me that they do not care about their customers because the last time that my vehicle was in for work was a time where there was another car the same making and model in the year as mine that he had been twice as many times as ours and this is a known problem with Hyundai is the rotors. I have told them that I am fearing for my wife safety in the car because the thinner the rotors get they do not have the capability of shedding heat as well and I have seen rotors come apart. So last several conversations I have had with the rep he has told us because of how many times we’ve been in for this. He is going to get our rotors on our brakes replaced on that Hyundai and then he goes back on his work he’s promised this and several emails. I’ve had conversations with other people. I’ve heard him say this and yet when he tells me that he’s gonna call the dealership and tell them to replace my rotors on my brakes, he must be doing the exact opposite because then I get denial. Does not have our best interest in our safety in mind so I would appreciate it if you would quit saying that there is no skin off of your back. You have the cars that have been affected in this way taken care of instead of lying to your customers through your wraps, which I do not appreciate.. I could not and will not be referring other people to Hyundai after the way that they have treated us and if somebody talks to us about the car, I will share what we have experienced and that is it. Frankly, I wish we never would’ve bought this other Hyundai. I wish we would’ve gone to another brand because this clearly isn’t the same Hyundai that we had before this. And I find it extremely offensive to have insinuated that it could be us as the problem for getting the brakes worked when we in many many many many years of being married have never had to replace rotors or brakes. We’ve had cars and trucks going on a regular basis And we never replaced or had to replace the rotors or brakes and when I asked for a supervisor or a manager of this rep that I can hardly even understand a supervisor or a manager has never felt like we were important enough to give us a call.

My 5th Santa Fe

It’s OK, this is my fifth Santa Fe in a row and one genesis sedan thrown in there between the second and third Santa Fe. I don’t like that It doesn’t have a V6, the little four cylinder is OK, but it just doesn’t have that power you need when you step on the gas. And there’s lots of little stupid things like there’s no lock on the glove compartment, really, they give you valet mode, but you can’t lock somethingin the console or the glove box that was stupid. The stereo in my previous one (a 2014 Limited all-wheel-drive ultimate)was much better than this one sound wise. It sounds a bit tinnie, lacks depth and richness and like everything‘s come in right from the front not all around and from the rear also. I’m not crazy about the fact that they don’t have a spare tire even the little donut version. I really don’t like the fact that I can’t do wireless CarPlay, really, that sucks. I’m already noticing a little transmission shifting issue, but overall like I said in the beginning, it’s not bad. I originally wanted to buy a genesis, the GV80 I just didn’t have the extra money, that was my dream car. Although I did talk my dear friend into going out and buying a brand new GV 80, you’re welcome.

I'm enjoying my 2023 Santa fe.

Bought it new 2 years ago. It's been very reliable and comfortable for around town and long trips. It's good on gas too, averaging 32mpg combined over 20k miles.

Safety features

There are too many safety features in my opinion. I can’t move my vehicle 5 feet in my driveway without fasting my seatbelt. Applying the brakes while going over a bump or pothole it sounds and feels like my brakes are going to fall off.

I started my Hyundai journey in 2012 when I purchased my first Sonota. I was completely satisfied with it's performance and easy maintenancethat after 4 years ,I traded it in for my second and so on.In 2023 I made the leap to the Santa Fe and when this lease is up, I'm almost certain that my next truck will most likely be another Hyundai. That is why I'm still a satisfied customer.

Love Our Santa Fe

We love our Santa Fe. Did several road trips with our dog and vehicle performed beautifully. Plenty of interior space and very comfortable ride. I would recommend this vehicle to any who enjoys a solid build.
