A RELIABLE COMFORTABLE VEHICLE
Five years and counting. Have had little or no trouble with the vehicle: just blew a headlight, but after 5 years, this is not a real surprise. It has been dependable and easy to maintain. If anything, I am used to a more luxurious ride: the Santa Fe lacks the seat depth and comfort that I was used to in my previous vehicle. I enjoy the deep red color, which was chosen because it is visible to others; however, it dings and scratches easily. It looks like it was attacked in parking lots, and bears many nicks and scratches.a new paint job is definitely called for, whereas other vehicles I observe in parking lot do not seem to mar quite so easily. I enjoy the Blue Link and its reporting on tire inflation, oil change schedules, and other hallmarks of the operation. Nav system is usually correct.Sometimes it gets confused, but we figure it out. Climate control is easy to operate and is more than adequate. Leather seats are intact despite years of use. I find the support columns on either side of the windshield to be a hindrance while turning, and believe that should be part of the re-design protocol. There is also a wind whistle over the side passenger door that the technicians simply couldn't hear. Five years later, it's still whistling. I will probably keep my Santa Fe until it dies in the distant future, as there is no reason to turn it in.
