I have it for a month now
So. I purchased this car a month ago and now I have dome almost 2000 miles on it.
So the PROs are:
- It went twice to the mountains and I felt very much in control operating it. Easy to brake and accelerate, very responsive steering.
- I drive it to work and back in everyday LA traffic, and it's very versatile and compact, I can squeeze through/in whenever/wherever I need to.
- It's a looker! I actually feel joy just looking at my car :)
- The engine is fairly powerful for the size of the car.
- It can fit in a lot of cargo! We have transported a dining table with 4 chairs and a big carpet and managed to take it all in one go.
CONs:
- I should have taken a higher trim, as now I feel that life could be easier with blind-spot detectors, front and side parking sensors, and an automatic AC. My AC manual has 2 modes - Freezing and Useless.
- I should have gotten the cargo rails, and I didn't (not the car's fault, but my own).
- Base model comes with way less cool features than competitor's base models (see Nissan Kicks) - blind spot detectors, keyless start, usb chargers for passengers.
- Sometimes my car struggles to accelerate. It's like it would linger for too long in one gear for just a little longer than expected.
- It gets noisy in the car at a speed higher than 50 MPH, so poor-ish sound isolation.
Overall, it's my first car, and am pleased with it. I've learned my lessons about dealerships and unnecessary extras they put on the bill, and also came to the conclusion that getting a higher trim is worth the extra dollars you pay. Overall - it's a good car and I could advise it to my friends and family :)
