Excellent Vehicle Overall

Hugely proficient car; few issues and good dealer. The minuses: many controls with nebulous labels are hard to read. Even having had a hybrid, this car has a steep learning curve, but it's so good!

Great to drive or ride in.

Leather interior is very comfortable. Visibility is great, but it should have a rear window wiper as rear visibility in the rain really drops off. Acceleration is great, even with the 2 wheel drive version.

Love it!

This has been the best car I’ve ever owned. I would love if it had wireless CarPlay and digital key with Apple but besides those two things it’s great. The cargo room is amazing. It’s fun on road trips. And it handles well.

The Ionic 5 is a pleasure to drive

Having a car with many active safety features was important to us and we got that with the Ionic 5. I feal that I can just sit back and let it drive itself, I dont however, but confident that if I did, it would keep us safe!

Solid car with room for improvements

Comfortable and spacious with good pickup. Estimated range is about a 20 mile overestimate. Would benefit from wireless (currently only wired) Android auto/apple car play and a rear windshield wiper. Also, there is no function that allows doors to auto lock when you walk away from the car. I don't often use the built in maps app but it is difficult to navigate and look at. I do like the size of the screen and the heads up display. I like the balance between touch screen functions and buttons.

Overall Excellent Vehicle

I love my Ioniq 5. I have four issues: 1. The 360 view is disproportionately scaled and often difficult to reference for parking. 2. No wireless CarPlay. 3.The car doors don’t automatically lock when I exit the vehicle! 4. The turn radius, especially when backing up, is noticeably wide.

Best EV in it's class, by far best EV in the market and a good price.

Very fun to drive, best EV I have driven by far, price is great and service, warranties are awesome. Quality of the car is by far the best in it's class, I will buy again. Love this car. No more gas or oil changes.

I enjoy this vehicle with a few exceptions

The car is responsive and fun to drive. The information is not well communicated the two large screens. I hate that here is no rear wiper or door locks from the inside of the door. The EV information is not communicated well

Th car is fun to drive, but it has a couple of design flaws.

The Ioniq 5 is fun to drive and has a great range. However, it has a couple of design flaws that significantly impact its operation. First, the main display puts the vehicle speed and the warning lights under the rim of the steering wheel, rather than in the center of the display. Second, the rear-window defroster cannot keep the window clear in cold or rainy weather, making it impossible to see traffic coming up behind you.

So awesome! More get up and go than I ever had in a gas vehicle.

Love it! So smooth with a ton of capabilities! Drive like a golf cart when pedal engage..cool! Drives itself very good keeping vehicle in center of the road in multiple lane driving. My Android phone works great thru port with Google maps. Cool I can play games on screen when wife is in shopping. Overall AWESOME!!!! SO HAPPY I PICKED AN IONIC5!

Enjoying most of the experience

Didn’t have the best purchasing experience and hope I can switch to a different dealership going forward. Didn’t get a detailed walkthrough just felt like a many years ago car buying experience. We have bought Audi vehicles for the past 15 years with a great dealership and brand experience. I had a couple of miner cosmetic things when I walked around the car that had to fixed. It took the dealer longer than the expected time because they had no loaner cars and someone at the dealer told me they are having “issues” with the service department. I’ve had problems with BluLink since taking ownership of the vehicle. My wife and I chose this model due to positive reviews online. The car itself over despite the issues hasn’t disappointed. Our first venture in to the electric car world has been a mixed bag. I thought if this experience went well we’d look into getting a Genesis next. We are now looking elsewhere.

Good little car but not built for winter driving. There is no rear window wiper, you cannot fold the front wiper up in advance of a snowstorm, sensors malfunction is snowy conditions. The heating steering is nice though.

Fantastic EV

This is my first EV, but it's been a pleasure to drive and own. The interior is good, the exterior is nice, and the hatchback space is sometimes critical for me as a new dad. The wife and I have hauled some furniture I really wasn't sure we could fit, and comfortably too.

Fun to drive, instant torque

Overall good car, paint quality below average. little rattles in the rear but nothing to even complain about but worth to mention. Range isn't the greatest but i know with time hyundai will fix that.

very satisfied with car

generally have been very satisfied with the service and car. I would like to have the problem resolved related to the infotainment system. Since I use Android auto more than the built in system the situation is workable.

Never had a new car that could not be fixed for three weeks running.

I am totally disgusted with this car, the dealer's inability to repair it, and the fact that I have not had the use of the car for 3 weeks and counting, with no end in sight. I had to demand a rental loaner. It was not offered, while I was denied the cheaper alternative of a new 12 volt battery until they know how to correct the problem. If the car is returnable to Hyundai under the lemon law, I still have had an additional $850 expense of a home charger for which there will be no reimbursement. After all of this.....would you ever buy another Hyundai!!???

Far exceeds expectations

It's quick, it tows, and it's large enough for my whole family. It charges FAST and drives far. It's downright fun to drive. These days I listen to gas cars "gurgling" away, sounding like they are trying so hard to accelerate safely onto the highway, and I find it absurd that any of us ever found that sound satisfying. This car silently and effortlessly throws you into that traffic gap you're aiming for, pulls you through tight turns, and constantly feels like it has so much more oomph to offer.

Handles surprisingly well in all conditions, and is very comfortable.

While the charging speed and range still need some work gowing forward, the Ioniq5 is a very comfortable car, handles extremely well in all conditions, is reasonably quite, and warms up quickly in the cold. I recommend it whole heartedly in the north.

Great overall car. Very economical. Fun to drive!!

It is a dream to drive. Very smooth, even over Railroad tracks. Acceleration is amazing. The large overhead window is wonderful for the back seat passengers. Great visibility. I always use the rear camera to see behind me.
