Nice, rattles and hard to find things in infotainment center

The rear gate rattles a lot, seat makes a popping noise, and the navigation system is fairly hard to use, finding studies and the council can be tedious, hd radio has lots of static had to turn it off because I thought the speakers were broken speakers were fine it was just HD radio

fun car to drive! Amazing electronics

we are really glad we are not polluting anymore. I charge at night for lower rates at home. I can charge up to 250 miles for $11.50 worth of electricity!! Match that with your gas guzzler

Spacious, stylish and comfortable car with technology limitations

The Ioniq 5 offers a comfortable quiet ride, has a spacious interior and is an overall handsome car. Unfortunately, it is also expensive and has outdated technology. No over-the-air updates of critical functionality, and the driver assistance systems have critical flaws.

It's a good value for money spent.

Ioniq5 is a good value for money. Charging time is very good. However, there are areas where it requires some improvement 1) Front seat comfort is not great for a long drive (1 hrs and above) 2) Braking vehicle to complete stop is not stable at times 3) Auto assist sometime auto brakes for nearby cars even though there is no apparent danger.

love this car, but...

I love this car despite weird software and design quirks. Whatever the rationales for were leaving off a rear wiper, having wireless charging but no wireless CarPlay, terrible navigation, and no manual access to battery optimization - they were wrong.

Mostly good

Love the design, spaciousness, and how quickly it charges. The app is clunky and requires a pin I can’t remember, and it’s a pain to rest everything all of the time. I have a trunk rattle that’s never been fixed. No ICCU problems yet (knock on wood) but the prevalence is concerning. Wish seats were more cushioned and supportive. Would prefer a way to control the screen without using touch, like a scroll wheel or touch pad. I feel the screen is too far away from the driver and I have to lean forward too much to interact with it. Wish more climate controls were available on hard buttons. The buttons are also difficult to see in the daytime and don’t show up well when using my polarized sunglasses. Same issue with heads up display. Wish there was a quick access way to change the display to dark versus light settings.

Good preference not worth the extra cost of the limited trim level

The limited trim is noisier then the sel trim The higher performance audio is taking a lot of space in the compressed yo SEL trim I like the mirror tilting down in reverse Parking assist is useful at all Front view on the windshield is not future rich and hard to adoption Side view is not helping

Fantastic car limited by some design choices.

This is a great car with a few problems. The first problem has been fixed on the newer model years - the lack of a rear window wiper. If there is any rain you can't see out of the back window on cars without the camera enabled rear view mirror. The other problem is why I won't buy out the lease - the shoddy security software that makes it easy to steal. Insurance is much more expensive due to this.

Horrible Battery Undermines Otherwise Great Car

Would never recommend this model year. The battery capacity started decreasing within 3 months of driving the car of the lot. Started at about 240 miles and decreased to about 180 miles. Hyundai technicians tried to blame driving habits. Two things - 1) we drove the car the same throughout so it wouldn’t have decreased, it would have been immediate, 2) driving habits have no impact to the fully charged capacity of the battery. They affect the battery life (higher speeds, A/C), but they do not affect the ability of the battery to fully charge. The service group was generally understanding, but the technicians would simply say they’d ‘reset’ the system. Why would they need to reset the system if there was nothing wrong, if it was our fault? They have had numerous complaints about this similar battery problem but pretend like it doesn’t exist. It’s disappointing as we took a risk on buying a Hyundai and it failed.
