Great vehicle. Comfortable. Fun to drive. No gas!

We have enjoyed our Ioniq 5 so much! From driving around town to taking road trips, the car is fun to drive, comfortable for all, and has great EV range and charging speed.

Lovely ride but some niggly things, not ideal for a brand new vehicle

I love the car. It took me a while to get used to parking as it's a little wide in body shape esp for tight parking spots. I like it's pick up and zippyness. It's super comfortable. the interior is very attractive (cream with blue exterior) and I get lots of compliments. The truck door rattles. this is my biggest pet peeve. It's been rattling for a long time now and the dealer said "yeah it's an issue". Also the wipers on front screen aren't great. they really don't clean it properly. Smudgy smears are left.

Mostly fantastic with a few bumps in the road.

Overall, I really love my Ioniq 5. It has plenty of room for my giant dogs and all the things I have to carry. The dashboard is a good mix of modern technology with the ability to still use physical buttons to control the vehicle. However, I had a tire blow out within the first few months of buying the vehicle. I had less than 5000 miles on the car. Hyundai made me buy a new tire and wouldn't provide the report I needed so that Michelin might reimburse me. I spent more than six months trying to get Hyundai to respond to my requests for the report, but they never did. I even escalated it to headquarters, and they were unable to get the report as well. The customer service aspect was very disappointing. The other issue is the battery is great in warm weather, but once the temperature dips below 40 degrees Fahrenheit, the battery drains so fast. I actually ended up stranded one night. I had a full battery and only had to drive 70 miles. I turned off all the features and still only made it 50 miles before the battery completely died. I was nowhere near a charging station and no tow trucks were available. I had to leave the car and come back the next day to have it towed. That's when I learned Bluelink will only tow to a charging station within a certain distance. My home was 3 miles outside of that range, but they wouldn't tow to there. They wanted to tow it to a slow charger which would have meant another day without my car while I waited for it to charge enough to drive home. I ended up paying for the tow myself just to get it to my house. So the car itself is great, but the rest is not necessarily great.

Great car

I live not buying gas! My Ioniq 5 is fun to drive, and suits my around town needs. I have ventured out of town a couple of times, but not so far that I run out of range. Wish more places would install electrify America.

Almost Perfect

Lots of positives. Very roomy. Very fast. Overall fun to drive in the summer! I live in an area where we get snow and lots of bitter cold weather. That tends to be the downfall of the Ioniq5. First, issue is the lack of a rear windshield wiper. I know the 2025 models have them now, but I can't understand why you would neglect to add one on the first few years. Strange. Second issue is the frequency in which I have to charge the vehicle in the winter. Its like 2 different cars from summer to winter. It flies through a charge. It charges much slower in winter too. If it wasn't for the 2 year free charging I got with the lease I might have returned it early.

Its really good vehicle with sporadic ICCU issues

We had great experience using different modes of ioniq 5, comfy seats, HUD and fast charging. Overall it has been great, we could not use our vehicle for a month due to 12v battery issues though.

retro-futuristic spaceship

I really like this car except that the driving range is low during winter. I live in Alaska and the charging infrastructure is sparse, so a bigger battery and range would be nice. Otherwise the car is great and suits my needs and life style. Driving to the mountains and in the snow to go skiing is no problem, actually kinda fun. I'll miss this car when my lease end next year.

Charging speed is great but there are some minor issues

Overall great car Minor issues is turning ratio is not good, I understand that because the battery lotion but still can improve. Also adoptive drivers assistant could be more centering and softer control. Especially go on a curve road feels like fighting with steering wheel.

Overall a great vehicle for this region (upstate NY). Handles the hills well & there are a decent amount of chargers in to make refilling convenient, with the usual waiting times. My only critique is the door handles, which require some chiseling out in the winter. Due to the freezing rain / sheets of ice that will form over them in cold, wet weather conditions.
