Not a great experience.

I cannot see the speed I am travelling while driving; it is hidden behind the steering wheel. No local service for the vehicle. The turning radius is not agile. Exterior styling is good. I will not be leasing another Hyundai. First, I leased a Kia, then its leasing costs went up so I decided to lease an Ionic 5. Hyundai charged me $400.00 to change models. No more Hyundai vehicles, your customer service is unacceptable.

fun to drive but room for improvement

i like my ioniq 5. it's great for the most part, but it definitely can improve

Best car I've ever owned

After getting over the "fear" of owning an EV, this is the best vehicle I have ever owned. The interior styling is clean and tech forward, but easy to use. The car drives amazing with that EV acceleration and fantastic road handling, even in inclement weather.

Not very pleasant.

My Ioniq 5 has been not very satisfying. I had lose paints and molding. Not to mention about 12v batteries.

Good Fun EV at a reasonable price.

This is a fun car. It’s got enough room for a family of 4 with 2 pre-teens. The tech is ok. The maps are mediocre. It doesn’t support wireless CarPlay. The UI is confusing. It also doesn’t do some basic EV things (like allowing one-pedal driving to be set as default) that other EVs do. The biggest complaint however, is that it doesn’t have a rear windshield wiper, and the back windshield gets dirty super easy due to the design of the car.

Limited model is amazing

I had the Limited and couldn't be happier. Wish I didn't have to come out of it. I wish you made special offers to returning customers, I would have taken another. I honestly hate the Elantra I have.

ICCU and 12 Volt battery issues

I can’t understand in all these years why Hyundai could not find the cause and rectify the ICCU problem AND the 12 volt battery problem.

Love this car!!!!!!

We are so impressed with our Ioniq 5. I’ve had and loved other Hyundais and loved them and this is our first EV. We love everything about it. We researched and drove all the other EVs on the market and this one was by far the nicest.

Dealership didn’t fix my problem with service due on the Hyundai app

For a month and a half now I’ve had difficulty with half the app telling me that I need to have a service is due and I take it into the dealership and the dealership says the service isn’t due

Nice car, but?

The customer manual might as well be printed in Chinese for the abominable way it describes (or more often-doesn’t describe) the functions of the buttons.

Love the vehicle but it needs some improvements.

Front windshield is weak - It has been cracked by pebbles and repaired twice! Needs rear windshield wiper to address poor visibility of rain and snow. Inadequate rear seat ventilation is a complaint of passengers. Needs rear hitch for bicycles, etc. Child safety lock location is poor. It is easily triggered. The seat belt clip is marring the cloth covered arm rest.

It is the perfect EV for our needs!

Room for our taller family, 4 sets of golf clubs WITHOUT folding the seats down, great performance, intuitive driving modes and dash controls. Other than the lack of wireless CarPlay and more range, we do not have a single complaint! It's simply a great car.

Nice but not great

Road noise is louder than I would expect. There is a rattle in the rear end that cannot e identified. Overall we like it.

Excellent vehicle that could use a couple minor improvements

This has been a great car that has saved hundreds of dollars in fuel costs compared to gas cars with home charging. The couple of things I feel need to be improved are: 1.) When I first went to the car wash it was difficult to change the neutral setting to unlock the wheels. This needs to be easier and obvious. 2.) When I put the car in neutral there's a message to "Check rear passengers." Which is fine, but, the seat backs are down this message should not be displayed. There was 1 incident that is concerning. One day I went out to use the car and the doors would not open. Turned out the accessories battery had no charge. The car was towed to the dealership. However, they could no reason for the battery to be dead. It leaves me concerned this could happen while operating the vehicle and be without the safety features and other items that battery powers.
