My Ioniq 5
This is my first access to electric cars. It took some adjustment to get used to it and its features. I like the sleekness and comfort inside the car. Only now am I realizing how long distance charging matters. This particular Ioniq is NOT equipped well for long distance driving. It may say you have 250 miles when charged up, but if it is slightly warm outside and AC is needed, forget about it. AC draws a LOT of charge power and reduces the distance by a lot. We were also given a free 2yr charge bonus through Electrify America, which is wonderful, except there are only 2 stations in a 20 mile radius to where I live, and as time goes by, they are more and more filled with waiting cars. Last week I had to wait 6 cars ahead of me, and usually one or two chargers are down for maintenance. Finally, I live in a warm climate and unfortunately, unless the AC is blasting and wasting a lot of charge power, it simply does not cool the car and is not angled properly to face the driver (poor design). I still enjoy my Ioniq for local drives on not too hot days.
