Great vehicle with an ICCU problem

Great vehicle to drive. Love the quick charging time. Really making transition from a gas car to EV wonderful. However, the ICCU popped a week ago and dealer still don’t have the replacement part for it. So without the ICCU issue the Ioniq 5 would be a solid vehicle.

Love the car, hate the dealer

I love the car. Have a handful of minor issues with it. I also we'll be getting rid of it due to Hyundai's lack of transparency on the ICCU failures, their causes, the frequency, and what they're going to do about it. I also will not be getting another one because the local dealer network is just awful. I mean absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with a dealership ever awful. Just incompetent. I'm living with my minor issues until I can turn that car in just so I can avoid the local dealer.

Software fails hardware but don't trust hardware either.

Hyundai continues to leave early adopters of its EVs behind by not improving software, and it needs to fix the ICCU issue to make the car reliable to take on long trips. The company won't even add features that other countries have the option for like automatic seat heating and cooling.

Great Car that could be perfect

Works great and is well thought out in many ways. Hope you dont get 12V battery or iccu issues. I also would like to precondition batteries easily.

Was a good car until it just stopped working.

This car worked fine for us, until it stopped working (battery quit after a year of use?!) Pretty stressful to have your car just quit while driving.

Love my Ioniq

I love this car. It’s comfortable, roomy and zippy to drive. But, mostly, I love that it is good for the environment.

Comfortable, easy to use, can go the distance

I love driving this vehicle! It rides smoothly, and the longer range means I don't have to charge it very often, or worry about finding a charging station.

Love it! Some major flaws

Fantastic to drive! My 12v battery died suddenly at 26k miles. Tried to start the car and couldn't. No warning. Really not great! I won't buy another one if this flaw remains. Badly needs a rear windshield wiper. Glad that was corrected. I'd like a another hundred miles of range.

A great car with some odd flaws

Let me start by saying I never wanted an SUV. I needed a tall vehicle because I have arthritis, and this was the one most comfortable to get in and out of. That said, for an SUV, this is a great car. It handles well, I love that it has different modes, and the range is impressive. Things to dislike: 1) the lack of a rear window wiper. Yes, there's a camera you can use instead, but this lack is just baffling. 2) Really odd placement of USB ports and need to plug in to use carplay. There's a nice dedicated place for your phone - which does not allow you to use carplay. You have to run a cable from the very front of the car to the middle to use your phone in the way Apple and god intended. I've added a pocket to the side of my seat for my car and invested in a long cable, but again, this is just weird in a modern car. That's it. I have a few other small quibbles (the turning radius could be better, but again, it's a large car) but overall I love this vehicle. From the moonroof to the heated seats, the extras make it super comfortable, especially on long drives. The adaptive cruise control is great. Charging is fast, I can get far on a charge, and it handles well in snow and rain. I've personally had a few problems with the heat/AC system, but they've been resolved after a few bouts of service.
