Love my Ioniq5

I really love my Ioniq5. Drives and handles well. The features were easy to learn and adapt to their use. It is fun to drive.

Smooth and Quiet Ride. A+

Great car. Since I live in a northern state, just not having to fill up my tank in the winter scores the Ioniq a ton of points. Also, it's a smooth ride. The system is mostly intuitive to use and the car gets a lot of compliments.

I love my Ioniq5

I love my Ioniq5 and wouldn’t trade it in for much of anything on the market. I love the way it drives. I love how fast it charges. I enjoy the feeling of luxury and technology. I have only minor complaints but it looks like Hyundai already addressed those issues in newer models.

Fun but not ready

The electric aspect of the car is enjoyable and it looks sleek with a spacious interior, but the terrible 12V battery breaking down multiple times (even after getting replaced) whilst driving almost got me killed. Then had to wait weeks to even get a rental through Hyundai and never had a estimated time when it would be fixed. Did not get another lease with Hyundai again.

Overall we love the vehicle. The back seat cup storage is too small for standard cup sizes, as are the spaces in the doors.

With a few minor flaws its a great vehicle

Things I hate - Parking Break - I will turn the car on and put my seatbelt on as I head to end of drive way - Car refuses to release emergency break until I stop put in park and put on belt ---- SOMETIMES - God forbid you have to go anywhere quick or in a rush like an oncoming train - I actually won't buy another or lease any car if this is a feature it bothers me that much. Door handles - While a nice feature one door handle has been stuck open - I think the little gear driven door handles mechanism is brittle. Everything else I love about the vehicle - so if you don't mind the auto emergency brake thing its great.

Never going back to a conventional combustion engine

I made the leap to 100% electric and haven't regretted it for even a minute. I've had no issues whatsoever with the Ioniq and thoroughly enjoy driving it every day.

Bare necessities

With the rare occasion of something in the electrical system going wrong, I enjoy everything about the car. A larger reservoir for the windshield fluid is something to be desired but overall, I enjoy using the car. The battery range serves me well, only needing to charge once every two weeks with steady use.

Great until it wasn't

Stopped L2 charging after 2 years. It's been at the dealer 2 weeks now with no update. I brought it in for all the recalls too. Before that issue, I loved it. Disappointing.
