Fun to drive. Very unreliable

I wish I would have waited to buy an EV. This car is very unreliable. It's been towed to the dealer twice now in the first couple years versus my gas cars that have never had that in over 150,000 miles. It was also VERY expensive for the fit and finish internally. Other EV's at similar prices are much nicer inside. This feels like a cheap vehicle on the interior especially given the price. The lack of rear windshield wiper is a really problem in the winter with dirt and salt. I personally am very disappointed in this car. It was also the most expensive car I've ever purchased. My goal is to put another 25000 miles on it and sell it since it's depreciated so much. On battery life as you can expect its predication is never right. Numerous times it's told me I have 220 miles and I plan a 150 mile trip and it can't make it back without charging. The tires are also terrible on this car. I have to replace them after 24,000 miles.

Great car for the right driver

Surprised by dead 12v battery issue which stranded me, but that has now been fixed. Also surprised by expense of minor body damage due to all the electronics located in easy to damage areas. But day to day, a fun car to drive.

Can be a great vehicle with a few adjustments

It is not designed for people who doesn't have a charging station near by or own a home to charge. Have a recharging feature on the vehicle would be nice. Being it a new vehicle, my dealer knew little about the vehicle so it put me in a pickle. We are very aggressive driver in my state so that option doesn't help out. So that should be fully explained and allow the costumer to make a choice during purchase to have it on or off.

Nice Car

Overall I like the vehicle. It has been very reliable for the first 2 years. Please note that the #1 reason I purchased this car was that I had a 22 yo car that was requiring 10K plus work on it. It was also getting hard for me to get into. This car had a front door long enough to allow me to easily swing my bad leg into the car without contorting myself. Things I don't like about the vehicle: 1. I had to reset my computer. New screens came up and although I selected 90% for my charge limit, I get only 80/79%. It used to work. 2. I cannot reach the glove compartment from the driver seat. Some of that is disability but the other is that it is too far over and pushed too far to the front of the car. 3. The driver seat is not a comfortable as it could be. It seems to be designed for "racing", it is hard and cocoons you but it also doesn't let you reach the glove box. 4. The buttons and flaps all over the steering wheel. Geez Louise! You accidently hit one, everything changes and you have to stop on the side of the road to figure out how to fix it. The written manual SUCKS; light grey print, NEVER fully explains anything and the screens/titles never match what you have on your system. Why they hell would you want to look it up on your phone if you can read more than 200 words per minute? You spend more time scrolling than reading. 5. All they had was matte or regular black paint. I wanted something light colored. SIGH. This is a male thing. I am old and disabled. A car is just transportation to me at my age and I don't want to hand wash my car. I was going to get it repainted but with the current economy I am reluctant to do so. Still it was an emergency buy and I would do so again only I would go to a different dealer to get a non-matte finish! And I still hate the tires.

It's great

I love it. it meets all my needs. The brakes squeak is my only complaint. The seats are not comfortable for very long car rides (i.e. more than 2 hours); and I'm thin (6 foot 155 lbs).

Range Impact and Dealership Honesty

I'd give 5 stars if EPA range was honest. I work in the car industry now so I get how it's listed but it needs to be listed similar to how it's done with MPG. Highway and city range. Regular customers are being lied to by dealerships saying 300 miles is the exact range no matter the conditions. Battery conditioning impacts the range significantly as well. Which steers customers away from EVs. I've helped sell multiple at my dealership because I'm honest with the customers and they respect that. Should be training employees and the standard should be honesty. Paint is another issue but that's been known for years. Other than that, overall really nice vehicle. I genuinely enjoy the ride, comfort, quality, and space. Charging speed was the main reason I went with it. Most EVs are still on 400v so it was a no brainer to go with something with 800v. If the range estimation is fixed accordingly then I'd probably feel inclined to rate 5 stars.

Overall, the vehicle is very spacious super nice body however, the range is not that much and you will eventually encounter problems with the battery.

Electrical problems

First year of usage the ICCU unit needed replacement. 2nd year twice left stranded with no electricity in the car whatsover. Twice towed finally battery replaced.

Great tech and styling. Mediocre build quality and reliability.

The whole reason I buy a NEW car is for RELIABILITY. I should NEVER be stranded on the side of the road in a dead 2 year old car. This was even worse. With the ICCU failure, the car suddenly bricked in the middle of the street (thankfully I wasn't on the highway). Without any power, I couldn't even put the car in NEUTRAL to push the car to the side of the road or turn on the hazard lights to warn people approaching at full speed to drive around my DEAD car. Unacceptable. They need to figure out a way for the hazard lights to work and the car to be able to be put in neutral when there is no electrical power. I had other minor build quality issues that made the car feel cheap to me. Still, I love the battery range 300 miles and the tech features like radar cruise control in stop-and-go traffic on LA freeways.
