Big mistake!

I am so disappointed in this vehicle. Wish I could have asked to take it home and drive it for a couple of days before I purchased it. I had a 2017 Hyundai Sante Fe and really liked it. I felt if I was ever in an accident, I would be protected by my car. Not the same feeling with this vehicle. I feel like I'm wrapped in aluminum foil and have no protection. The hood is so heavy to lift to check and/or fill the fluids and then I have to hold it with one hand until I get the rod to hold it up. That's going backwards. Didn't have that with the Sante Fe. If I was in a head on collision, I would be decapitated by that hood co ming at me. There are way too many bells and whistles and they are distracting. I'm trying to avoid potholes, and the car is telling me to pull over and take a break. The carpeting doesn't go all the way up to hide everything. There are way too many new things to learn about this vehicle. My Sante Fe had the trouble with the engine and had to be towed to the dealership 3 times. At that time, Hyundai should have replaced the engine for free. That was your problem and you made it mine. I couldn't depend on that vehicle to get my husband to out of town and out of state doctor appointments. He didn't feel like the vehicle was dependable on the interstate roads we had to travel. Imagine taking the on ramp on an interstate only to have the engine power down like it did 3 times. I'm sure the semis would just love to push me along. My husband and our son insisted I get a new vehicle. The Hyundai warranty seemed like the best so that's why I have another Hyundai and the fact that I was tired of car shopping. Do I like it? NO! Would I ever get another one? NO! Would I ever recommend Hyundai? NO! Bought it in November and have 1,900+ miles on it. Not many miles for a vehicle I've had for almost 5 months. It sits in the driveway most of the time. I don't even like driving it.

“Fourth Tucson Strong — Hyundai Keeps Winning Me Over”

I have owned 6 consecutive Hyundais (an Elantra, a Santa Fe, and I’m now on my fourth Tucson). I always purchase, I do not lease and I usually purchase the limited model, keeping them for about 3-4 years and put 60–70k miles on them in that time. I rely on my vehicles heavily for work. What I really love about the Hyundai Tucson is the size. I’m in and out of my vehicle at least 30 times a day managing commercial properties, constantly moving from location to location and jumping in and out of the vehicle. The Tucson sits at the perfect height for me to easily jump in and out, and I even use the trunk as a workspace and it’s just the right height for that. The fuel economy is also solid. I average around 28 MPG, which is great for an SUV in this class. The interior, especially in the Limited trim feels surprisingly upscale. It has all the bells and whistles I want, like leather seats, large digital screen, sound system, automatic seat adjustments when I get in and out, and a built-in garage door opener. I also really appreciate the safety features, like lane assist that actively warns you, which adds an extra layer of confidence when driving. I did test drive the Hyundai Kona, but ultimately went with my fourth Tucson. The size, comfort, and overall experience just fit my lifestyle and career better. At one point, a dealership in Riverside, CA even featured me in one of their commercials. Out of all the vehicles I’ve owned, I’ve only had one issue (a couple cars ago), and Hyundai resolved it quickly. Maybe by my 10th Hyundai, I’ll make it into a nationwide commercial—haha. They hold their value. I usually end up even when I trade it in for a new purchase.

So far we are really enjoying it. We previously had the 2019 version. Not really excited about how large the touch screen is. Bit of a learning curve to figure it out. Miss just turning a knob to locate radio stations. The sound system is very good. Also in the 2019 version when you began to drift out of your lane, an alarm would sound. This one just vibrates. I preferred the alarm. The rest of the safety features are amazing. As I get older I appreciate them more.

infotainment lacks when using Android Auto. wireless works great for me, but wifes wireless conection will not connect automaticly whe she uses her profile.
