I Love my Santa Fe but it has issues!!

I Let my son-in-law drive my Santa Fe while on vacation. I was sitting in the rear passenger seat and could not get out of my door. He kept pressing the child lock, and it still would not open.my daughter had to come around and let me out!! Rear camera fogs up after a rain making it difficult to back up.

Economically priced, considering all the options and features. The only drawback, the owners manual does not fully explain options and features.I get a better explination by doing a google inquiry.

Excellent trip car

This is a fantastic car, but there are three annoying things in my estimation. 1. It’s incredibly annoying that your foot has to be on the brake in order to shift from neutral to drive. This is actually dangerous when trying to leave a car wash with the next car in line merely feet behind you. 2. The background lights on the lower control panel are WAY too faint. They are nearly useless, especially with any sunlight on them. I would actually prefer real knobs and buttons over the flat panel. It’s dangerous trying to see the panel to make any changes, like adjusting the seat heater or changing the fan speed.its a terrible setup. 3. Of much less a concern is this. It’s a bit outdated to still have an actual fuel cap behind the fuel door. Other manufacturers eliminated this years ago.My most recent Chevy Traverse had eliminated this way back in 1019. I bought the 2024 Santa Fe before the current 2026 model. These issues were exactly the same back then.

Dissapointed

I purchased this car on April 20th. Not even a month later when the sun was glaring at car, I saw all these lines and markings across my windshield. I contacted the person I worked with and they said they would help and do what they could. The service manager never got back to me. Thought they could replace it and move on, but nope. I still can’t see how of my windshield when the sun is blaring down and it makes a crackling noise when any air is blowing in my cast.

My Green Santa Fe

I’m am liking the vehicle. Couple of things; head lights switch is hit by my left hand all the time and changes setting; acceleration is 2 or 3 seconds delayed even with the turn off switch turned off; front camera in lane adjustment mode runs the car over shoulder rumble strips

Good vehicle overall, sone features are annoying.

The Santa Fe has good cargo capacity, nice interior, good mileage and good comfort. I don’t like the constant “ coffee break “ reminder on trips. It’s a distraction, nit an asset. I also wish that I could permanently disable “ Autostart” function. It’s only going to shorten the engine life and increase maintenance on other systems.

Smooth Ride

The Santa Fe is spacious and such a smooth ride. I’m happy with the safety features as always, coming from a Tucson. Couldn’t ask for a better vehicle.

Overall pretty good car. I wish for the price that there would have been a little more that was included in the features, but overall it’s good. I wrote my cons down, as I know there isn’t a “perfect” car out there, but overall good!
