Cool but has reliability concerns.

The vehicle is really cool and has some nifty features. I also like utilizing my kayaks with this vehicle as well. Unfortunately the windshield breaks whenever a pebble hits it. Also the rotors warp easily.

The Sant fe is Stylish, but Reliability and Durability Fall Short

My 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe XRT is a solid SUV when it comes to overall styling and features. It has a sharp, modern look that stands out, and the tech and comfort features make it appealing on paper. That said, my experience has been mixed. I’ve already run into several mechanical issues, which raise concerns about long-term reliability. While the SUV looks good inside and out, many of the interior finishes haven’t held up well — they wear down much earlier than expected. In short, the Santa Fe XRT is an average SUV. It delivers in appearance and features, but falls short in durability and dependability. Honestly, I would have paid more upfront for better quality finishes and stronger reliability.

So close but the mechanical issues outweigh the luxury feel

This vehicle has so much potential. I am hoping Hyundai makes some big mechanical changes. The CVT is great in theory but at least with something as big as the Santa Fe the execution falls short. In less than 30,000 miles the oil pan seal has had to be replaced twice and the tires absolutely did not hold up. On a positive note, the level of luxury is really nice and the screen display is top notch!

Less Features. More Money

This is my 3rd Santa Fe I have bought. I also owned a 2013 and 2015. My payments for both were cheaper and I had more features than my current 2024 model. I don't have a sun roof or cooled seats, and the passenger seat isn't electric. Comfort has been traded out for annoying safety features

Love this car

This has been my favorite car I’ve ever owned and I trade fairly regularly. The value for the price is great, and I feel Ike I’m driving an affordable luxury car. The driving dynamics and ride quality are great and I love how quiet the cabin is. My only regret is purchasing too soon (as soon as the new body style hit the lots) and not getting AWD and the limited trim. Would definitely consider the hybrid version IF it had a spare tire available.

On going Problems

Cant seem to find the problem. Bought new and has been serviced many times. Sit and wait for hours to be told nothing is wrong. I have videos and pics and nothing has been fixed.

Superb Santa Fe!

Truly enjoy the 2024 Santa Fe. Love the style of the body, safety features were a priority, and the interior is just beautiful. Love the dashboard and Apple CarPlay capabilities. Smooth and comfortable ride.

Changes

I would like to see (especially) the rear backup camera to be shielded from weather. Too often I can’t use it due to drops of rain on it. There should always be a spare tire. Third row seat should be optional for more storage space under cargo area. Auto mode for headlights should be adjustable for how low the outside light is required to be to turn on headlights in Auto mode.

Pretty great SUV

I love my Santa Fe. I wish they could figure out why the vehicle shakes/vibrates for the first several miles around 50-60 mph that seems to get better the longer the vehicle is driven

Have no issues with vehicle. Only complaint I have , on the exterior, the trim which is black plastic, gets a white film on it in streaks when I wash it. Not sure what to use to bring it back to looking nice

Why I liked my 2022 Sante Fe better

I have owned Hyundai's since my 42 year old daughter was 19. We bought her one and we have purchased at least 10 since so this is not a bash Hyundai review. I saw the new design in the mate finish with blacked rims and wanted it more than anything. Loved all the hype and about 2-3 weeks before the new cars arrived at our dealership our salesperson said the matte finish could not be run through the car wash. So I settled for a white limited with tan interior. Drove it and decided to buy. Ok, then the differences. Took a bit to get used to the gear selection whatever you call it. The auto pilot comes on when all I want is the cruise control. For some reason the cruise control does not like my sunglasses as it will turn off and say something about not seeing my face? Ask my wife it is true. There is so much to know about the information screen and how you get the Sirius to show up like the last Sante Fe. So many things going on. The seat belt clasp in the front seats is too short. Seriously, you have to work sometimes to find it to attach. I am 6' tall and still have not gotten the seat back far enough for my personal comfort. Lastly the transmission will allow the car to move a bit after it has been places in park. So much for the I don't like. It is quiet with a great ride but I think our prior Sante Fe was quieter and tighter. The interior has a great look and again is comfortable. The first month we had our prior SF we drove from central Illinois to Santa Rosa beach in Florida and it was a great trip do to the ride, comfort, and engine and room plus rooftop. We have only gone about 200 miles one way in this one so not sure. Anyway, now you know. We are 70 years old and still getting around so this may not be the last larger SUV we buy. My overall favorite though was our 2011 Sonata Limited with, I think, a 2.0 turbo. Best car I ever owned. She made me trade it to. That is why I gave it a 4
