Key Fob issue when not in proximity of vehicle.

Reason for the average rating is mostly based on key fob issue. Several months ago we drove roughly 80 miles, leaving the fob at our house, only to stop shut off the vehicle and realize we couldn’t turn back on…huge issue as we had to get a rental just to go back to town and fetch the fob, to get back to our vehicle and restart our road trip. Big safety concern with this. How can the vehicle allow you to drive this far without shutting down?? Concern with potential theft as well…

Lot of good and a few could be betters

After owning our 2024 Santa Fe Calligraphy for almost two years now we like it for what it is. It has a lot of features that make it a great car and few that make it a ho hum vehicle. Which is sad to say considering the initial cost. The good would be the creature comforts and comfort shooting well above the price tag in some respects. Leather seats awesome. driver safety with HUD awesome. In general just a good family car. We have never used the Third row. We realize a fully loaded TUCSON may have been a better choice. We also realize that the HYBRID would have been worth the extra money in hindsight. The moon roof honestly rarely gets opened. We live in the high desert with sun beating down constantly for the better part of the year. The sun roof has too much wind noise as if it isnt sealing all the way, yet we cant find any leaks. So long as you keep the interior cover closed the sound isnt as bad. If there are any glaring downsides to the vehicle it would be the transmission which can get you into an accident if you arent paying attention. The dual clutch will not engage fast enough if you have to get into traffic immediately from a stop. I have had numerous close calls of almost getting hit when I simply had to accelerate quickly from a stop to merge into traffic. The transmission combined with the whimpering sound of the engine can be underwhelming regardless of power it claims to put out. It took the better part of a year to figure the acceleration and transmission quirks out. I wish we could retrofit the 2026 transmission into ours and it would be a night and day improvement it may not try to kill you pulling out into traffic. To sum it all up. The car gets you point a to point b in comfort and roominess. The adaptive cruise and lane centering take some of the stress off of everyday driving. if we had to do it again we would more than likely get the XRT edition although we feel it would be settling for second best giving up a few of the creature comforts. We enjoy our 2021 Sonata Limited Hybrid better. Just more comfortable.

Rides and drives good. So do gas mileage. Hate all of the electronics. And everything is backwards

Bad Vibration When Driving. Dealer cannot fix the issue and admits it

A great vehicle overall but for the duration of our ownership we have suffered a persistent and extreme vibration when driving above 35 MPH. We have had axles changed, wheels changed you name it the dealer cannot fix it. Apparently, the car "might" need a new rear axle coupler that should have arrived on the 17th. We were promised a call to let us know but nobody has bothered calling us. I have kept a full spreadsheet on all the interactions around this problem and lack of ability to resolve. i am now beginning the process of returning the vehicle under the Lemon Law. The dealer has admitted that there is a problem. they just cannot fix it.

Lemon total garbage

Car had major problems first week. Needed entire electrical system redone. 1 month later new brakes. One month later new display. Corporate bought it back. But they are still sending me reviews almost two years later.

Love my 2024 Santa Fe

This is my 4th new Santa Fe. I bought the first year issue in 2000 then 2013, then 2019 and now 2024. Every vehicle has been great in every feature. The 2024 is by far the most wonderful one of all. I love the "H" head lights and rear lights.

The vehicle is beautiful but…

Vehicle is beautiful but my Santa Fe came with a defect, it makes a noise every time I break. It’s the sound of needing new breaks, this noise started from day 3. I took it to the dealership multiple times for them to say they didn’t hear it, then after doing a ride along they miraculously heard it. After the 4th time taking it and having people say it’s fixed and not been fixed I just couldn’t keep spending my days off at the dealership. After the 4th or fifth bust I lost count the noise was not as loud so ai stopped going but high noise is back and I’m dreading having to spend my days off at the dealership.

Not my favorite car

This car had way too many annoying safety features. It was too low and I hit my head on it constantly. Jerky starts, when pulling out of driveways parking lots and from stoplights, it was unreliable. Don’t get me wrong, I love Hyundai. This was one of four Hyundai’s I owned, and I still owe a Venue, which is a great little car for the money.
