2024 Santa Fe

The tires are awful on this model. I have had 4 other Santa Fe’s, and have gotten at least 30-40,000 miles from my tires. I had this car for two years and had to replace two tires and when a 3rd got a bubble I bought 4 new tires. The car runs really well especially on the highway. It has a smooth ride.

Alot for a Great Price

This 2024 Santa Fe has probably exceeded our expectations. There are so many add on's that really make it fun to drive. lots of cameras, any deviations and we get notified. Really love the car.

Great car. Few hiccups.

I love the look of this car! It’s so sleek. Love the screen and the interior. I did have a few problems out the gate. I had to have a parking sensor replaced. I don’t love how the air works in general … the rear controls are very strange. It doesn’t seem to really ever work the way I think it will or should. The vents that direct to the feet, even on high, don’t blow very hard. I love the heated seats. I definitely feel the general quality is lower than that of a suburban for example. It just doesn’t feel as sturdy. I HATE HATE HATE the heat shift mechanism. It’s not designed well. You can’t see the screen grind it to see what gear you’re in. Why this was redesigned like this blows my mind. The way gears were designed since the dawn of time makes sense. Why stray? I feel like I’m always one “twist” away from an accident. Overall- I’d buy this car again. I love the warranty , the car for the money for what’s available in the marketplace is pretty good.

Love the look of this vehicle!

Lots of bells and whistles that I appreciate in this vehicle. The look of the matte paint is awesome and turns heads, but will try to avoid matte in the future due to the required upkeep. A year and a half in and the car still rides quietly, which I appreciate!

2024 Hyundai Santa Fe review

Our Santa Fe is great in all areas except the transmission. That web DCT is horrible. We get lags off the line and it's just not consistently responsive. I notice you have heard plenty of that feedback because you're getting rid of it in the 2026. It would be really nice to get a HEALTHY trade-in allowance to upgrade to the newer model with the better clutch because we really love the car other than that mess of a transmission.

Major fail for a brand that was known for reliability and great value

For context, I've been a loyal Hyundai customer since 2008 and have bought eight vehicles in that time, including for my daughters. I was proud to hear from non-Hyundai mechanics that they didn't see Hyundais as much as other brands. I was excited about the 2024 Santa Fe and not-so-patiently waited to get one; I even drove four hours each way to pick up the one I wanted because they were only trickling in vehicles after hyping it up. I loved this vehicle when I got it... more than any other vehicle I owned (even my Genesis GV80)... until I started dealing with significant issues and truly bothersome feature alarms. The biggest issue has been the transmission and Hyundai's decision to launch this cool new vehicle with "dual clutch transmission" that was portrayed as robust — I've had my Santa Fe in the shop FOUR times for this issue alone and at least a couple more due to recalls in the 18 months I've owned it. I've owned a few Hyundais that never had any issues and was only in the shop for standard maintenance, and only two others that were in the shop once or twice. In fact, I've had THIS 18-month-old Santa Fe in the shop more times than all the previous vehicles combined, not counting standard maintenance. And on my (mistaken) recommendation, my oldest daughter bought her first Hyundai completely on her own. She's had even more trouble with her 2022 Tuscon, which already shook my confidence in Hyundai's post-COVID reliability. After another four-day (plus the weekend) stay at the shop, I decided for the first time since 2008 that I would explore other brands and look to trade this Santa Fe at my earliest opportunity. I buy new and pay a premium for reliability. I used to be able to get that with Hyundai — not anymore.
