My current and previous vehicle have been Hyundais.

My first Hyundai purchase was during the Covid pandemic. The two vehicles I had both became too costly to maintain and I needed to replace them. Everywhere I went...no cars. Could only buy new and you had to order it and wait a couple of months at least. The dealers around here either had no cars on the lot or ones that I was not interested in. And the older cars...were as much or a little more than buying a new car. I had almost gave up until I remembered there was a Hyundai dealership. I had never driven a Hyundai and thought I would just see what they were like. That Santa Fe was my first Hyundai car purchase. It was a model that was a couple of years old. I had not owned it a year before there were engine issues and they replaced it under warranty. Then, the service department had a wreck in my vehicles and while they were going to pay to repair the damage...I wasn't all that interested in paying off a vehicle that had been wrecked and the frame bent. So, I purchased a new Santa Fe. Other than the fact that the exorbitant car prices during the pandemic got rolled into my new vehicle putting me upside down...the car has been great. A few issues. The window guards had to be replaced twice because they started moving and coming unglued. I have had some intermittent issues with steering wheel controls lagging and a instance where it felt like the transmission wasn't catching, but the service department couldn't duplicate the issue. Luckily, they come with a very decent warranty and I did opt for an additional electronics warranty as well. Most new cars have way too many computer electronics in them so I figured it was best to get that added in case something went wrong. I do wish that the sideview mirrors were heated as they tend to be foggy. The rail bar caps did pop out from what I can only guess was due to the heat wave we had this year. I had to pay to replace them and of course they were only available in black, so I had to replace them all so they all matched. They really should have been covered under warranty, but I ended up eating the cost. I've had no regrets with my purchase in terms of the vehicle itself, only the increased payment.

Santa Fe AWD 2.0

The vehicle from a price point is much less than the competitors offerings, I was surprised with it's dependability, I have close to 50K miles on it and have had no mechanical or transmission issues. I did have to replace the radio a few months after I purchased the vehicle, but now that's sorted. It's a good dependable vehicle for the price, but for long distance driving I wish it had an upgrade option on the engine from a 2.0 4 cylinder to a 3.2 V6. Wind noise is very noticeable while driving at highway speed and can get annoying, but over all I can't complain.

It is a pretty good vehicle. I haven’t really had any issues with it at all. I would recommend it to someone. I think it may be a little too big for me but it’s a nice vehicle.

I bought this car based a friend having the same car. Good value for the money, and excellent warranty. Didn’t like the 2025 change to body shape.

Very nice SUV. I'm very happy with the way it looks and it rides well. It gets good gas mileage. My only complaint is the switch on the driver's side arm rest. I keep hitting it by accident.

Never another of this model

The quality of the vehicle was not to the standard that anyone should expect. Body panel alignment, left rear bumper did not align with the body. The hood always appeared to be slightly open. The right corner of the hood did not align properly with the A-Pillar. This should have never been allowed out of the plant like this. Manufacturer told me to bring it to the dealer and they will fix it. So that means they would have to loosen bolts and leave obvious signs of repair. The gas mileage never reached the advertised numbers and I am a conservative driver. The seats were not comfortable on long drives. Something that you would never realize on a test drive. I am sure that the brand is fine, but this particular vehicle did not meet the standards I would have expected. By the way I have owned a number of Hyundai Vehicles in the past and never had any complaints.

This is our first Hyundai after many Toyota and Honda products. We have been very pleasantly surprised with the quality and value of our Hyundai Santa Fe and have subsequently recommended Hyundai to family and friends .
