Extremely reliable!

Love this car! It is comfortable, rides so smoothly, and had all the extra features I wanted. Except for dealer maintenance, I have not had to fix anything.

Ok SUV

It's been an ok SUV, the highs are the lane assist camera, pretty responsive engine. The lows are the wipers are terrible to change, the remote start glitches all the time, it's tight for larger people to get into.

REview at 2nd year

Not happy with the removal of features from 2020 model to 2023 model. Interior : dash board material is very difficult to keep clean and mark free. When touched or clean shows marks or smears. Location of USB in the council is subject to spills and debris. LOcation of phone charging port ( Slide In) is also subject to spills and debris.

Issues

We've owned the Santa Fe calligraphy for less than 3 years and has to have the transmission replaced. We have another Santa Fe and that has to have the engine head replaced in less than 2 years old. Hard to recommend after seeing how qualify is questionable.

It's okay

It's not the best Hyundia I have ever owned, there are some good features and some not so good. I have had issues with my brakes that no one seems to be able to figure out, a loud clunking noise when I am applying the brake and go over a bump, have had it looked at but no one can figure out why it does this.

Okay, kind of out dated. I would not recommend the 2023 get the 2024

Brake problems, loose parts, seat belt issues, but its good on gas

My current and previous vehicle have been Hyundais.

My first Hyundai purchase was during the Covid pandemic. The two vehicles I had both became too costly to maintain and I needed to replace them. Everywhere I went...no cars. Could only buy new and you had to order it and wait a couple of months at least. The dealers around here either had no cars on the lot or ones that I was not interested in. And the older cars...were as much or a little more than buying a new car. I had almost gave up until I remembered there was a Hyundai dealership. I had never driven a Hyundai and thought I would just see what they were like. That Santa Fe was my first Hyundai car purchase. It was a model that was a couple of years old. I had not owned it a year before there were engine issues and they replaced it under warranty. Then, the service department had a wreck in my vehicles and while they were going to pay to repair the damage...I wasn't all that interested in paying off a vehicle that had been wrecked and the frame bent. So, I purchased a new Santa Fe. Other than the fact that the exorbitant car prices during the pandemic got rolled into my new vehicle putting me upside down...the car has been great. A few issues. The window guards had to be replaced twice because they started moving and coming unglued. I have had some intermittent issues with steering wheel controls lagging and a instance where it felt like the transmission wasn't catching, but the service department couldn't duplicate the issue. Luckily, they come with a very decent warranty and I did opt for an additional electronics warranty as well. Most new cars have way too many computer electronics in them so I figured it was best to get that added in case something went wrong. I do wish that the sideview mirrors were heated as they tend to be foggy. The rail bar caps did pop out from what I can only guess was due to the heat wave we had this year. I had to pay to replace them and of course they were only available in black, so I had to replace them all so they all matched. They really should have been covered under warranty, but I ended up eating the cost. I've had no regrets with my purchase in terms of the vehicle itself, only the increased payment.
