2023 sel + activity non turbo

Minor issues to date but I've heard so nightmare stories. Hardest part is getting service, you have to plan 60+ days out. Watched one dealership while changing oil remove my oil cover plate then kick it to side and never put it back on. When they drove it out I informed to counter agent to take it back and put my cover plate back on. Then he only put one bot on so he had to take it back again. Never adjusted tire pressure although within threshold I intentionally let one lower to see if they would adjust. Had to do it myself. But as the car goes, gas mileage is as expected,. Comfort is acceptable, even on long drives. I have the non turbo so it's a bit under preforming in that part but does the job and was expecting such. Was not going to pay the price for the turbo. Over all it's been pretty good so far but it's only 3 yrs old. Let's see how it goes after 6 yrs

Excellent. Simply excellent city truck.

Design, fit and finish, power, performance, technology and efficiency are all off the charts. This is not a "regular" pick-up for heavy duty of intense off-road use. This is the perfect "City" truck for someone who wants the comfort, technology and abilities of a luxury SUV with a pick-up bed.

2023 Santa Cruz Review

I love my Santa Cruz. I would give a 5 star but my bed cover is getting stuck and hard to open. I ask in the dealership about it, told me they would called to let me know if it was in warranty, never call me back.

Two things i would like changed about the Santa Cruz

Way too small

Way too small. Definitely not suitable for someone with kids. Car seats barely fit in the back .. and even at that they’ll be kicking the back on your passengers neck unless your passenger is 4ft and has their seat all the way forward! Not worth the buy. Has some cool features but not logical. Body style is a little funky too.

Car is ok ! Dealer in danville illinois charges for work under warranrty ! Dont know what bumper to pumper policy means! Told ne bc cabin air filter not covered tryed to charge me 110.00 ! Tried to charge ne 100.00 for an oil change 15,000 miles !

Factory tonneau cover worthless…

Due to the small size the truck bed is essential. The factory tonneau not only leaks but becomes almost impossible to open and close. Dealer ordered a replacement under warranty but the part is back ordered.

I’ve had multiple issues that weren’t covered by warranty

I loved the looks of the 2023 Santa Cruz limited turbo in white. I added roof rails, new black rims aftermarket, door edge trim, etc. Then I discovered the bed cover isn’t waterproof. I wouldn’t have bought it if I knew this. I’ve got 70,000 miles on my 2023, in last 10,000 miles not covered by warranty I’m out $5k out of pocket on repairs. From fuel delivery, exhaust, cooling, etc. wouldn’t buy another one.

Comfortable, quiet, adaptable and sporty

Have loved this sporty SUV/pickup ever since day one. Definitely appreciate the turbo 2.5L and AWD. The SEL Premium came with a retractable hard top for the rear bed and it locks up tight whenever the doors are locked. Can’t complain about the 28mpg average either (in town it’s 24, on highway it’s closer to 33).

Fun to Drive while providing the utility of a small "pick-up" truck.

My experience with my 2023 Santa Cruz as been very good. I have enjoyed the use of the covered bed for hauling many things associated with my gardening and other outside supplies at our home. It drives like a car and is really fun to drive. I appreciate the technology of the semi "self-driving" feature, which allows you to take your hands off the wheel for a temporary need, especially when making longer trips. There are only two things I would mention in way of improvement as follows: 1. I suggest that on future models try to make the cover on the truck bed water proof. It keeps about 90% of the water out of the bed when raining and/or getting it washed through a carwash. 2. The transmission seems to take a couple of seconds to move the car forward after changing gears. Although is not much delay, if you are in a tight spot in traffic at an intersection, for example, those couple of seconds could be the difference in a wreck happening. Overall, I have been very satisfied with my Santa Cruz. If the transmission issue I mentioned should not be happening, please communicate to me and I will take it in to the dealer.
