Great fun and comfortable vehicle

I was in the market for a new car, and I’ve always had BMW’s, Jaguar etc. I test drove a Santa Cruz and couldn’t believe how luxurious it is inside and how well it drives. So I decided to get something different and get one. It’s loaded with safety features and has an excellent warranty. I got the limited edition because I wanted leather seats, 360 degree camera, and high quality led headlights. I got the sage gray color. People ask me about my car all the time. It’s a fun car to drive.

2023 SEL Hyundai Santa Cruz

Very nice truck for the money. Comfortable, fun to drive. Has some utility. Reasonable fuel economy. Interior is nicely laid out. Not a lot of road noise and rides/drives like an SUV. More options or the ability to add items in the lower trims would be nice.

Would be awesome if Apple CarPlay worked.

Pros - very good acceleration. Super quiet ride (especially because Apple CarPlay is useless). Really good looking vehicle. Drives, handles, and breaks awesomely. Cons - Although the Tonneau cover is really nice to have, it feels cheaply made. The latch and sliding mechanisms are sloppy, sticky, and inconsistent. The fact that only the top trim line has vents and cup holders in the back is silly. There is no usb in the back. The fact that a 2023 vehicle doesn’t have usb c is a bit strange and renders the infotainment system obsolete from the factory. The most glaring problem is that Apple CarPlay is worthless. That was my #1 requirement for any vehicle I bought and this has turned an otherwise good experience into a huge disappointment. I will gladly change this rating if the problem ever is fixed, but will never be able to give it 5 stars because of the cons listed above and the fact that I will eventually have to take time out of my day and spend gas and mileage to get the dealership to fix something that was non-functional from the factory. I am a very busy person so even taking it in is a huge deal.

Totally satisfied with my vehicle purchase,

Overall rating was excellent. Salesman went out of his way to find me the appropriate vehicle I was searching for. They found the model and color I was searching for. They were also very helpful is providing me information about accessories for my vehicle.

Good.

I wanted a vehicle with space to haul items and the Santa Cruz provides that. I also needed an All-Wheel drive vehicle. I love the look of the Santa Cruz and i am extremely happy with it so far. I've only had it 1 month.

New vehicle

Bought this vehicle to maybe pull a small trailer. Has plenty of towing capacity for what I want to pull. Engine has a lot of power. Seats can use more padding for comfort. Definitely not car seats. Ready to get out after a couple hours. Otherwise great little pick up.

Was great til the check engine light came on at 2,000 miles. Mid fire on multiple cylinders. Not sure how with all the testing that can even happen. My Chrysler product had 326,000 mikes when I sold it to buy this. I hope it’s not a mistake.

I love this vehicle, but get rid of these automatic braking systems! Or, at the very least, provide users with the ability to permanently disable them; none of this automatic reactivation when the vehicle is turned on. It is my car and if I want these features turned off, I should have the ability to do so. If I wanted a vehicle that would do things by itself, I would have bought a Tesla. If I had known some of these annoying features couldn't be turned off permanently, I wouldn't have bought the vehicle.

Excellent small Truck

Wanted a comfortable truck with a decent towing capacity, and something to fit in the garage. Plenty of power with turbo, very smooth, truck bed is actually about the right size, and you tow a trailer if you need more space, the heated and cooled seats are great and everything seems well thought out.

Tucson on steroids!

This Truck/SUV hybrid gives me all the versatility I need to get things done in my day to day life! From towing my boat or camper to picking up 2 yards of mulch and not to mention keeping all my fishing gear in the locked storage bed. I just love everything about it........whatever you call it!

More Offroad than you might think...

I took my 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz on a 4,230 shakedown journey that included interstae, two-lane mountain roads, and some serious bouldery offroading in the wilds of Nevada and Utah...it was perfect. I especially was impressed with Lock- AWD mode. Offroading and still maintaining high fuel economy...the best of all possibilities.

Very satisfied.

Very satisfied so far. Bought new in march 2023 and has been flawless no complaints. Interior is very comfortable, drivers seat adjustments are awesome. All of the controls are well placed and easy to get to and use. Really like the body style and the wheels. Also the non turbo four cylinder has more than enough power for Pennsylvania roads.

Has more features, than other vehicles similar to this, for a lot less! Rides smoothly and quietly. The cameras let you see all around you. Easy to get in and out of. Never thought I get a vehicle like this, but after I test drove it, I loved it!

Great truck and fits inside my garage(very important) just like a car.

This truck is fun to drive, Fits in the garage like a car. Roomy interior easy to get in and out. Recommend the step rails. the bed lid is just great, but it does leak at the very end near the read be door. Wonderful color get many compliments. Ride is very smooth as well as the engine.

Rides like a car

I've had the Santa Cruz for about 1 month and I love this truck. It rides just like a car, and has plenty of "bells and Whistles". It was ridiculously priced and I have a "bumper to bumper" warranty for 10 years!!! I love ❤️ this truck!

Feels like a full size truck but it's comfortable

Rides nice but lacks features and intuitive controls

Rides nice but lacks features and intuitive controls. It does not have rear seat power plugs or vents, the touch screen is difficult to use and is not intuitive. The sound system is weak. It does ride wmoothly and has good acceleration for the turbo engine model. AWD is good on off-raod dirt roads but would bot go far off road due to lack of clearance.

Fun driving experience

Love the practicality of this vehicle and the storage space it provides. Also love the driving experience! It's not like your typically pickup truck with hard suspension - very smooth in the handling and drives like an SUV.
