Great car, nice sleek look, roomy backseat

After driving for a year, I love my car and many things about it. The large dashboard screen is very easy to see, and the series of traditional buttons below the digital display allow a driver to select features like climate, radio & navigation either way, plus through the voice command button on the steering wheel. The safety features including back up camera , collision warning alerts, key in car or car left on when exiting make me feel safe. The back seat is a bonus, plush and roomy as is the trunk. I also love the auto light setting, and the "Sounds of Nature" audio setting for when I am in a stressful driving situation. The few flaws are: the heating system does not seem to kick in unless you set it to ridiculously high temps like 80 degrees plus. I still haven't figured out how to turn on the seat warmers. The air vents are narrow are also weirdly placed for the driver, either in your face or on your lap. It should be a quiet ride but something is not quite airtight about the door/window construction--at highway speeds you can hear the rush of air, mostly outside the passenger door.

Love this car. Please bring it back to US

My first electric car and I love it. I want a sedan. I don’t want a Tesla. There are so few options and I’ve heard this will be discontinued in the US. Please don’t.

Its overpriced for what you get

For context reasons, its important to know I work at a hyundai dealership. By no means is it a bad car, but for $50,000. there is just a lot of better options. I have this car as a lease. and some things have upset me. for example, I curbed my wheels on the passenger side on accident, that will now be $900 PER WHEEL to fix since there is no hub caps, i have to replace the entire wheels. the wipers arent the best compared to other hyundais I have driven, like the sante fe's, its wipers just leave small streaks that slowly fade away instead of wiping the window in one good go. The tires i got on the new purchase had already been at 4/32 tread at my 8000 mile check-in, which is insane. and when I got the car gas was $3.50 where i lived, a month later it dropped to $2.50 and above until the war started. So for a while i was paying MORE in charging then I would have in a economy gas car like the Elentra ($20 full tank for 400 miles) or a hybrid which would give you about 500 miles of range in a sonata. $20 in charging only gets me about 40% charging at 64 cents a kw/h which is a pretty standard rate at charging stations near me. if i charge at home that would be 80% which would only get me 200 miles of range. so half that of the Elentra, which was a car I had before. their is no standard for EV charging ether. I charged 10 Kw's at a dealership and paid $60 on a machine that advertised "0.32 /kwh" because there was hidden fees that were charged per kilowatt that this dealership applied. like a "$2 dealership fee" a ".50 blink fee" and a bunch of other bull. so to charge my car by 13% I paid $60. and there is NO LAWS that discloses that. I want to end this by saying I love the ioniq, but it having no value as of right now, and a buyout of $35,000 on a car thats worth $22,000 once i drove it off the lot is just insanity. I will be returning the lease and I will probably switch to hybrid.

Not recommended for daily highway drivers

Range is poor, charging speeds are slow, safety software interface and applications need much work.

I probably won’t buy another Hyundai again

It doesn’t matter how much you like the car if your sales experience isn’t good. My experience was horrible and after some research seems to fall in line with many others purchasing in the Rochester area

Great car!

I think it is a great car. It drives well, is comfortable, looks great and no more gas! My only minor criticism is that some of the electronic safety features are too sensitive. It periodically reminds me to keep my hands on the steering wheel while I am holding it, and more annoyingly, when I am stopped for red lights, it very often continues beeping and lighting up to warn me about (imagined) vehicles in front of or next to my car.

It's a 4* EV and would be a 5* for many

We purchased the Ioniq 6 and leased an Ioniq 5 at the same time. After several months or so the Ioniq 6 driver determined that they preferred the Ioniq 5. We returned the Ioniq 6 in favor of leasing a 2026 Ioniq 5. What was preferred: the Ioniq 5 is not a sedan. This has no effect on the 4*s or on what follows, the Ioniq 6 is a fine auto. Any 5's that follow mean "satisfactory"

A Nightmare

I am 83 years old, the car is ioniq 6 2025 SEL with only7000 miles I was on vacation, my sister and niece came to visit at where I was staying to celebrate my sister's birthdy. On the freeway suddenly the car started to move very slowly and big alarm showed on the screen "stop car! check power supply" ... nowhere to stop and I had to drive with cars behind me on the freeway ... to make story short , after few miles I stopped. pressed the SOS bu...tton and to be honest in less tham 1/2 hour triple A came and towed the car to : and that was the second dissapointment : to nearest Hyundai Dealer, and that was Laguna Niguel Hyundai... the rest of the day was a disaster... took Lyft to go back to the resort ..then my niece dropped me at the dealer.. I was told they will check and let me know...Ok, I said what next ? a rider till my car is fixed ... sorry, we don't have loaner/ rider... what ???? Plus how do I ho back to the resort ? It's your responsibility???? believe it or not that how I was treated? to be continued....
