Underwhelming
The Ionic 6 is a very sleek looking car, it's fun to drive, and it has a lot of "wow" factors that I like.
At the same time, though, there are a handful of fundamental flaws that have made me very glad that I'm only leasing the vehicle and not purchasing it. This is my first EV, and the change in range expectations between summer and winter is unbelievable; it feels like I'm driving two totally different cars. In the summer, my range prediction at full charge is over 335 miles - which is impressive. I don't think I get *anywhere* close to that in reality, and I don't trust that range prediction one bit. But, in the winter, all bets are off. I feel like I'm charging my car multiple times a week, and I don't even drive much.
Beyond that, the car doesn't feel built super well: things are constantly rattling on the inside, particularly in the center console space.
Also, this car not coming equipped with Apple Car play, despite older, less expensive cars having it standard, is a huge disappointment. The fact that this car requires a dongle adapter or cord to get CarPlay is disappointing.
More than once, too, the seatbelts have become stuck while extended, which is annoying.
