Great, but some slight improvements
Overall I'm pretty happy with my Ioniq 5. It has many more features than my old car, like Android Auto. I'm especially enjoying the one pedal driving mode. However, I feel like the braking when letting go of the pedal during one pedal driving is too weak. It's barely enough in most cases, and is not enough when going downhill. It feels like it's balanced around making things not slide in the back, which is super slippery (which is another complaint). However, driving in general is nice. Acceleration is quick when needed, it turns nicely, and it's pretty smooth. I'm tall and I have plenty of head room, even without the seat being bottomed out. I'm also not a fan of the "don't drive distracted" warning that pops up every time I turn on the car. That's not required by Hyundai and adds 10s before I'm able to access things like maps. If you want the time to be 10s, start counting from car on, not when things load. And now there's a second welcome screen after that that doesn't have a count down. Luckily I can just hit the android auto button (rebindable star button) on my wheel for that screen rather than touching a touch screen. Also, locking the on-screen keyboard out while in drive is dangerous. Now I have to pull out my phone to type in an address, or hand it off to a passenger. Passagers cannot enter navigation instructions with the screen while driving. I know that's likely an android auto thing, but hyundai could help fight them on that. You'll probably say "just use voice", to which I'd say it doesn't work most of the time and isn't my preferred way of inputting info into a computer. Keyboard is much more reliable
