Avoid at all costs until electrical are legitimately addressed

Beautiful car. Best I've ever driven. Having said that. AVOID AT ALL COSTS 12v battery repeatedly died. Was told my driving habits were the problem. Turns out it was an electrical issue they were not able to diagnose. Car finally bricked -inooperable. Rolled down a hill into a tree and Hyundai refused to take responsibility for months. I was told the vehicle needed to be repaired before they would buy it back. Still waiting, almost 4 months, for a legitimate and reasonable repurchase offer. Avoid this car and Hyundai customer service until they addrss the broadly known electrical problems.

Love the car, but ICCU failure is a real problem

Here's my simple review: I love the car. Style, performance, price, technology - I think it's a really great car in every way. But (and here's the but): I don't have the car anymore because the ICCU failed and I had to wait almost 10 weeks to get my car back. 10 weeks! So I reluctantly used the lemon law to turn the car back in. That delay was ridiculous and wholly unacceptable. Corporate should be embarrassed that it took so long to fix. And during that time, the dealer had no answers on how long it would take - they just said they have no idea when the part will be available. So, the car is a winner. But the ICCU issue makes it hard for me to recommend to people.

Best SUV I’ve ever owned!

This SUV has changed my life. I was apprehensive about going for an EV, but this has been the best decision on a vehicle I have ever made. I am paying only $80 more per month than my previous 2022 Tucson SEL! I charge from 20%-80% at home for about $5! There is nothing more satisfying than passing gas stations at $4.50/gallon. The vehicle has great technology, app based control of features, handles great, tremendous acceleration and great range for a 80% or 100% charge. Best decision I have ever made on a vehicle.

I love it

All great, except a very squeaky hatchback latching mechanism, which was fixed with window insulation tape.

Extremely reliable and a good investment.

I put 90k in 13 mos as Lyft driver with no mechanical or electronic issues. It continues to give me good battery life. And super roomy car with a smooth ride. A real treat.

Don't Change it!!

Seriously you guys have done such an excellent job with this car. Don't change it! My greatest fear is that you're going to make changes to future models in a vain attempt to improve it. The only two things I'd ad are a compartment for sunglasses and a visor extender for the sun. It can be annoying when the car will break if it sees something behind it but that's just a part of that technology. Everything else is so well done. Don't fix what's not broken. I want to drive this car into the ground. And I have a feeling that when I go to get the newer model it won't be as good because there will be some misguided decision to follow Tesla. Teslas are terrible on the interior. Please don't! If anything this is the best car Hyundai has made and it should be the template applied to all other models. Well done. Don't change it!!

Overall very average car. I can’t think of anything that is exceptional. I was attracted to it because I wanted an EV and the lease offer was very good. The styling is dull and so are the colors offered. The hybrid dashboard was also interesting- compared to the all screen version of Tesla, but in practice it did not deliver. Too many bugs and weird button clicks. This may not be hyundai’s fault but I hate the safety features that constantly beep and vibrate and take over the car.

The Safety features and handling are wonderful. But the Ergonomics and convenience features are far less than great. The heat pump failed after 2 months

Need to Fix the ICCU Problem

I have had to have the ICCU unit replaced twice in less than a year, and the replacement passenger window has been on backorder for a year as well with no idea when it will get here. The battery also died after a year, leaving me stranded a third time with no warning, all in the first year of owning the car. It is fun to drive, but it does not seem to be very reliable when it comes to the electrical system. The seats are too large for a female body, especially with the footrest on the driver's seat, but otherwise the car is comfortable and has a lot of helpful features that work well.

We were ready for new vehicle. There was a lease deal for the IONIQ 5 at that time. We decided to try the vehicle. We have not been disappointed. It has many features that make the drive not only easy to learn, but easy to use. It is a smart vehicle, therefore, a safer ride than a non electric vehicle. The vehicle will remind you if you are driving outside the highway lines and to contact the service department for necessary visits. Have really enjoyed the comfort of the vehicle and the hatch back is great for larger items. All in all this vehicle checked all of the boxes for me and I would recommend it to others. Give it a try and enjoy the ride...

Excellent EV

The Ioniq 5 is quick in city traffic, handles well, and is fun to drive. A full charge now shows 360 miles of range. Roomy enough for 5 people with good storage in back.
