Gives more than I expected, but rattle interior which gives me a headache

Everything is almost perfect. But in the first month, around 400 miles rattle sound occurred around the radio controller. Drove it for another few hundred miles, abnormal sound from passenger’s front and rear door. I would love to give this car a 5 star. But I couldn’t. I have never experienced this in my life. Buying a brand new car and rattle interior occurred in just about a month

Broke down 7000 miles

Vehicle jerks forward in out of ev and engine power. Accelerates when braking. This just happened at 7000 miles. I called dealership and made appointment to drop off car. At this point I don't know what is causing the issue.

Good gas mileage, shotty CarPlay and driver assist feature integration

I purchased the vehicle for fuel economy purposes as I commute 500miles a week. The regular use of the vehicle means that I am constantly in and out of it on a daily basis and have been inconvenienced by the constant reconnecting required between phone and car in attempt to get CarPlay to work properly.

Great Car, Terrible Dealership

I love the car 100%. However, the dealership Clay Cooley in Rockwall, TX provided the worst service I have ever experienced. They were late to deliver the car, snuck in added expenses, avoided my calls, sent my registration information to the wrong state, took months to fix their issue, and never returned calls. I had to remind them to fix their mistakes with the paper work for over 3 months. I still do not have the proper information to register my car after purchasing it in October of this year… it is now January.

A Great Ride

My new hybrid Elantra is an extremely smooth ride. I am absolutely loving the handling and the fuel economy. The buying experience was quite wonderful too with a responsive team looking to make sure that we could come together on financials.

Issue with Carplay

While driving, Carplay doesn’t work and responds extremely late when the maps (using google, apple or waze) is on. This issue was explained and shown to the advisor. Advisor said that there was an issue with the antenna and had to be replaced. Even after replacing the antenna, this issue has not been resolved.

Fuel Economy Not as Advertised

We were excited to buy our Elantra Hybrid Blue and even waited a couple of months for one to be delivered to the dealership. If I had known that the mpg would be so drastically under what is advertised, I would have saved the money and bought a conventional gas model or searched for a different hybrid. On most short drives, which is what we typically use the car for, we get under 20 mpg. Averaging under 40 mpg total so far, way less than the promised 54 mpg combined it is supposed to get. I baby the accelerator and try to stay in ECO or EV mode as much as possible, and still, terrible results. I don't know why Hyundai is allowed to get away with this and why they are not called out for this blatant misrepresentation in the media. Other than this glaring failure, it offers a nice ride. The infotainment system can be annoying and glitchy.

Love our Elantra Blue

We love this car so much. It drives great and has all the features we want. Love the MPG. We drove it to FL (aprox 900 miles) It gets a little uncomfortable in the back seat if you sit for a long time, but that is to be expected in a mid-size car. We would recommend this car to anyone

Great car!

Love this car! Its purchase was made so much easier by the help of Basel, and I’m not sure we could have done it without him! After driving it for over a month, the safety features and gas mileage that it gets are my favorite part!

Great Styling, Feature-Rich, Excellent Mileage, Overall Excellent Value

I purchased this car after my son's positive experience owning a 2022 Hyundai Tucson for one year. I was impressed with the many included features and overall fit, finish and comfort of the Tucson and by the mostly very positive reviews of the Elantra Hybrid. The car's styling is slick. The mileage is excellent. So far the performance is good and no complaints about the features except the Cons noted below.

Economic Price

With the gas prices, this is fuel sipping vehicle. That is the main reason and second is safety features. I liked the exterior styling and feel that there are some features in interiors that need improvement. Because I feel that I have paid a little over the MSRP considering the features that I was offered.

I can only find two things wrong with my new 2023 Hybrid.

I drive about 800 miles per week and I'm averaging 51 to 54 mpg which is awesome. The worst part is the safety systems fail every road trip because the radar gets blocked nonstop and its annoying not being able to use all the safety features and cruise control you bought the car for! The door cup holders are useless. Other than what I have mentioned the car is awesome in every way! Just my 2 cents. Shay from North Carolina

Easy and convenient!

Jared did all the work for me! He walked me through all the features and helped me customize it to my liking before leaving the lot. He even called my insurance company for me and took off my old car to add the new one. I barely had to lift a finger!

Cruise Unusable & Mileage Not Even Close

Purchased a new 2023 Elantra HEV Blue 11/2022. If the car functioned properly it would be OK for what it is, a low power, no frills, economy car for commuting. Unfortunately, the economy and commuting are awful. When the cruise control is on the rpm continually surges, which is aggravating to the point of being unusable for me and also makes bad fuel economy even worse. Also, I'm getting mid 30s for mpg on the highway, at best. This is with driving the car very easy and forcing EV mode as much as possible. Basically, this car is awful for its only real purpose of getting me down the freeway comfortably and efficiently. I took the car into the dealer and got zero help. Cruise functions "as designed". I'm guessing they didn't design it to be worse than anything built since the mid 70s. If you're looking at one of these cars please take it on the freeway, test out the cruise control and ask yourself if you'd still want it getting only 35mpg.

Space ship offering close to 90mpg in NYC traffic in warmer weather

Goofy pedestrian warning speaker makes it sound like an angry laptop computer but can't argue with the 70-90mpg you get crawling in urban traffic. It does just what I wanted it to do - cover long distances without using much fuel. Very comfortable - drive an 850 mile trip and you can still walk when you get out of the car. Downsides: - If you're tall, you need to curl up like a pill bug to get into it. But that's true of any modern sedan. - No option for heated steering wheel. They found a way to put it in the Sonata but not here. Upsides: - It drives bigger than it is - holds the road, doesn't blow around at 70mph past trucks, ride is compliant and quiet. - Handling is excellent. It's just about the perfect commuter car.

Better off getting a Hyundai model that is not a hybrid

The car gets good gas mileage, but it is nowhere near what is advertised and not worth the extra cost of the car when you can get the same, if not better, fuel economy from the other Hyundai Elantra. I even got a car in a color I didn't want with the interior that I didn't want just so I could have this specific car for the fuel economy. So, it's a big letdown when the fuel economy is not what it should be. Everything else in the care is as expected and good quality, but it's just not worth it to get a hybrid when Hyundai has so many other cars with better features and the same fuel economy.
