Still Deciding

My Elantra has a back up camera that squawks at me when it is unsafe to back up. The other day I backed up into a cement pole and the backup camera did not squawk! Was it supposed to?

Nice Styling

I have bought 3 Sonata's before this, but didn't like what they did to the gear shift under the steering wheel. I wasn't convinced at first as this has less horsepower than the Sonata, but I have to say, I am enjoying driving my Hybrid Elantra.

Very good vehicle but expected more features in the highest trim

The limited trim is expected (or was sold to me as) the highest end trim which has everything , so I was disappointed when the vehicle didn’t have front parking assist or wireless Apple CarPlay or auto wipers. But aside from that I love the comfort, interior, handling and functions of the car.

Love the car except for one thing

This model doesn't have an alarm. The 2015 Elantra that I had before this 2025 Elantra had an alarm. I was very surprised to discover there was no alarm in the newer model. Other than that, I really like the vehicle. Oh, one other small item, it's supposed to have a cargo tray but I just got 3 plastic pieces that I don't know what to do with. My 2015 had a cargo net which was great.

Very disappointed in the actual mileage

The car's engine is under powered and it would be better if all four tires had electric motors. When this car hit a head on wind or any kind of heels you could forget any kind of gas mileage. I'm averaging only about 30 to 35 miles a gallon. If I had the money I would get rid of this car and go back to a normal gas operated engine. As a multiple owner of Hyundai cars I'm very disappointed. Our original plans was to buy a palisade hybrid but that won't happen now

My new Hyundai Elantra with about 2,500 miles gave out on February 12

I liked the car which I bought in December of 2025. On February 12 I was taking my girl friend to the eye doctor when all of a sudden the car froze up and I was stranded in Winsted CT across from the Ollie Store. I called AAA who towed it at no charge to the dealer in Torrington. Then I arranged for a taxi to take us to Enterprise Rent a Car where I rented a car for $116.74 in order to take my girl friend to the doctor. The taxi cost $30.00 plus a $5 tip. As of tomorrow the dealer will have had the car for two weeks and have been unable to fix it.

Nice but too long and big with uncomfortable seats for long drives

LONG DRIVES ARE TERRIBLE, ALWAYS STRETCHING ; YOU HAVE TO HAVE A CUSHION FOR YOUR BACK AND ITS TOOOO LONG, MAKE ONE SMALLER! THERES A LOT OF HYBRID CARS THAT ARE SMALLER AND EASIER TO MANEUVER

Got T-Boned at 45mph, minimal injuries

I loved this car, got it mid December 2025, unfortunately someone hit me and completely totalled the car. I made it out of the car with only a bruised abdomen and hip pain.

Very smooth ride and great value

The high mileage per gallon is just one reason I am very pleased--it is comfortable and easy to handle. Hyundai warranty and service are excellent reasons this is my 2nd Hyundai Elantra, although my first hybrid vehicle. I recommend for regular drivers like myself who prize good value above high-priced status symbols that require a lot of regular mechanical visits and support.

I have enjoyed to Elantra hybrid. It is great looking at the dash and seeing 50+ miles per gallon. It seems that it does not like the cold because it hovers around 40 in the winter.
