Big Mistake

Been waiting 18 months to say this. I hate this car. So many issues with tech, from sometimes starting in "accessory mode" (supposedly, except it doesn't TELL you it's in that mode, thus causing the car to roll forward while in reverse and hitting a curb, while other times if you intentionally try to start it in accessory mode it DOES tell you you're in that mode,) to automatic lights that randomly turn off in the dark, to that $#*&% "take a break" chime that goes off randomly, repeatedly, and you cannot disable it on this model. 0/10 would not buy again, and the service dept "can't simulate the problem" so they'll tell you it's user error.

Great Value

Great vehicle for the money. The health app is clunky and says that I require service every 2,500 miles based on my driving. And shows up as a warning. I will point it out to the dealer next time I go in. This is the second issue with blue link. I had an 2023 and liked the key better than the 2024. They changed it from a smaller and heavier duty fob to a light plastic larger one. Other than that, car is great. Requires a little more maintenance being a GDI engine . Gas mileage is great in warmer weather. 52-55 mpg winter in NH I am getting 44-48 mpg. Vehicle is comfortable to drive and take it when we travel longer distances.

Vehicle is reliable dealership says whatever to make that sale.

Vehicle is alright. No frills but reliable. Dealership lies and doesn't care to make it right. It will leave a bad vibe to know they are shady enough to lie to a single mother of 4 kids. I guess anything to make that sale quota!! This will be the last vehicle i ever buy from this brand and dealership.

Great with one exception

I love this cat, wish it had everything my 2023 had in it but I am learning to live without heated seats… not fun in the winter. The only true downside of the car is occasionally it hesitates when leaving a light or when shifting between forward and reverse.

Made so cheap! Yet so expensive! Not worth the investment.

The vehicle slows down to 20 to 22 MPH when traveling over 35 MPH, and it does intermittently sometimes once every 3 to 6 months., in the morning when I start to go to works its not even 5 mintues before the "take a rest message" that appears on the drivers dash. It goes into self park mode by its self. Some times the vehicle crash avoidence alerts works, and sometime it does not. I love the fuel saving but the danger of driving then it randomly slows down by its self is a great safety concern.

GPS malfunction

I bought my Elantra new in 2024 and the GPS has never functioned properly. I have taken it in more than once, explained the malfunction (and dealership acknowledges malfunction) only to be told there is nothing they can do about it and to use my mobile phone GPS instead. I am very frustrated and completely disappointed.

Getting a lot of car for the money!

Awesome car! My only complaint is the “inattentive driver warning”. Very annoying feature that doesn’t work very well. I’m being very attentive, hands on the wheel, sitting still at a stoplight, and it starts chirping. So I have to shake the wheel. Incredibly inconvenient. However, I love the rest of the car. I wish there was a Coupe model. This is my daily commuter, I do not use my back seats at all, haven’t in the year I’ve had it. Rarely use my front passenger seat. I’d prefer more room for the driver, or better yet, more battery space in the rear.

The perfect hybrid except one asspect

I love everything about this car except one thing. Which living in California a state with many hills and mountains it lacks a lot of power when going up hill and slows the car down very quickly. I feel a turbo or a bigger displacement is quite needed especially when having passengers

It's a nice car for the money. So far so good...no real issues the fist year. Time will tell. My only complaint is noise: engine is noisy compared any other vehicle I have owned. Doors don't seal completely...this was noticble from day one.
