Love the Car, hate the Horn!

In warmer months I average 61-63mpg. I love everything about the car except the horn. Horn worked great for the first year them both the High and Low horn died. Hyundai replaced it free of charge. The problem - the car is going in again for horn replacement #4.... I'm being told a new updated High/Low horn has been ordered and will be arriving soon. I really hope this 4th replacement will fix the problem. I'm also concerned will I be responsible for the cost of replacement if it dies after the 60,000 warranty ends. Car has 58k.

Look, it's a boring sedan. But it seems quite well-made, has a great sound system and is very reliable. Great gas mileage and range (nearly 500 miles on a full tank)

Good drive ruined by wildly incompetent driving assist system.

Car seems reliable, but has a driving assist system that makes driving the car an absolute nightmare. The car constantly demands attention by screaming alarms about dangers that do not exist. These alarms are outright wrong more than 90% of the time. They are very distracting and in no way helpful. They create significant distraction at crucial moments and are almost always screaming about nothing at all - like screaming an alarm that there is a car next to me, in a double turn lane when we are both staying inside our lanes - or screaming a warning about a potential collision with a vehicle ahead of me after I've already come to a stop - or screaming a warning that I'm going to hit a car in the lane I'm changing into when that car is hundreds of yards behind me and getting further away. This system is an extreme distraction and wrong nearly every time. It makes driving the car an absolutely miserable experience of constantly being screamed at. I object greatly to being treated like a disobedient toddler by a computer that has the reliability of a brain-damaged toddler. Whoever designed this system should be fired. Whoever approved it should not be trusted to boil water.

Great Fuel Economy, Comfy Ride

Car is excellent; had very little issues aside from replacing tires from DE/PA roads and OE factory tires are some of the lowest rated in customer reviews, but that's about the only bad thing myself and my partner can say. Otherwise, the car is smooth, it handles well, the transition between gas and hybrid happens very naturally and without much fuss, and the fuel economy is great, regularly beating out the estimated EPA ratings on long trips. (Doing 60mpg in NYC rush hour traffic for over an hour while also in the rain is good stuff).

Initial newness wears off quickly

No doubt that the value for the dollar is good if not very good on the Elantra Hybrid. That said, my Elantra has aged poorly in terms of fitment, squeaks and rattles within the interior. Road noise is substantial if not burdensome and the day cannot come quickly enough for Hyundai to fully banish DCTs from their entire lineup of vehicles. If your hearing isn't sensitive and/or you buy based on value versus quality then go ahead and take a chance on the Elantra but I'll pass after this first purchase of a Hyundai product.
