I didn't think I'd like this car, but I love it!
We had to get an extra vehicle so we could pass down one of our other cars to our newly licensed driver. We didn't have a lot of money to spend so began the search for a car with AWD/4wheel drive and a few bells and whistles. We landed on the Hyundai Tuscon Value trim model. It had the traction we needed for our rural area and it had some nice interior touches. Full cabin moon roof, power adjustable driver seat, heated seats, good cargo space, sport mode to really have the speed and zip for passing cars. It was nice but this was going to be a downgrade from a high end vehicle that would now be driven by my husband. I reluctantly began to drive the Tucson and after getting used to the vehicle, I began to love it! Responsive, size easier to park better visibility for me to see (I was coming from a large SUV). And I was shocked at how well the traction was in the snow. Was not expecting that!
We have had no mechanical issues after 2yrs. A few annoying squeaks in the cabin but not bad enough to drive me to the dealership to fix them. Pretty quiet for road and wind noise. I really would have traded seat warmers for a power adjustable passenger seat! I'm 5'4" and that seat sits all the way on the floor of the vehicle. I had to buy a memory foam pad to sit on to give me some height when riding as a passenger. Otherwise half of what I see when looking through the windshield and side windows is dashboard and door panel. It's really annoying. I also wish the clear coat would have been a better quality on this trim model. The paint is pretty standard and nothing beautiful but a nice clear coat could have made it look so much more. But the clear coat seems a little dull too. This is a 2018 Tuscon so maybe this does't apply to the newer models. Other than that, no complaints! Great, reliable vehicle so far.
