Hyundai needs to focus on quality

I purchased a new 2023 Tucson HEV in the Limited trim. After owning the car for exactly a week the check engine light is on. After immediately taking the car to the dealership there's a faulty piece that has to be replaced. Other cars are experiencing the same issue and the part is backordered with an estimated arrival of 6 weeks.

2023 Tucson Hybrid SEL

I was very impressed with the style of the car. Both the body and tire rims were styled well and very appealing compared to the bland competitors. There are tons of east to use safety and quality of life features like lane keep assist and collision detection in the front and rear. Some things I felt were lacking or confusing, for instance I expected a proximity sound when reversing, the screen for the rear camera is big enough to see everything clearly, but this has been a feature on other cars for at least the past 5 years. Wireless Apple CarPlay is also something I expected on my SEL trim. This is a feature on the Blue trim, which is the base trim, but the SEL and Limited trims only offer wired CarPlay. Besides those two complaints, basically everything else is very easy to use, easy to understand, and user-friendly. I love driving my hybrid for its smooth driving, quiet startup, and great fuel economy.

Great Hybrid Category Car!

I cannot give it a 5 because I don’t know how reliable this car is yet. Also, we hope we don’t get stranded with a tire mobility kit to used since this vehicle didn’t come with a spare tire. Otherwise, so far an excellent car to drive. Great safety features is a must and we have it all in this car. Go Hybrid! Go Blue!

Nice vehicle but causes distracted driving

I absolutely love the style and handling of my 2023 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid. I was disappointed on the wait time to get a color I really wanted, so I settled for a color that was okay. This vehicle comes with plenty of what I call "bell's and whistles" that can be great to have, but because one has to use the center screen so much you can take your eyes off the road for longer than desired times.

Love my new Tucson Hybrid!!!!

Did my research before my purchase. Ended up with the Tucson and I absolutely love it. I bought the Hybrid because the reviews stated it had more pep among other things like great mileage. The ride is so quite and stable. I have absolutely no regrets and I have purchased many cars thru the years.

Buyer beware

Engine light came on 3 times within first three months of owning my brand new Tucson hybrid--something about the emission control system--causing me to have to bring it into the dealership multiple times. Service at my dealership was very poor--they had to order a part that still hasn't come in (10 days later), and they have no idea when it'll be in, so it's still not fixed. I asked to talk to a manager the last time I called, but I was told he was busy & that he'd call back--but I received no call back. Sad that I bought a hybrid for better emissions, but that's the system in the vehicle that's not working as it should. Overall, poor quality vehicle, and poor quality of service. This is the first Hyundai I've purchased, and quite possibly the last. Sad.

Better than my BMW X3!

A pleasure to drive, Handsome vehicle. Modern feel & look. Very pleased with my Tuscon gas hybrid! So far hybrid mileage in the mid-30s even around town. Surprised I like it much more than my BMW because of the amenities.

A terrific fun to drive vehicle

The Tucson hybrid is a pleasure to drive. Comfortable, quiet, and responsive. Great looks too. The infotainment system works well and has all desired features. We are elderly, and the small text on the maps and displays causes us some difficulty. I personally do not like the position of the shift controls as one has to look down in order to see them, but this discomfort may ease as we use the vehicle more.

Hey, fun, yet practical peppy and excellent mpg

This is a fun car to drive with plenty of pep, storage capacity and mpg in the 35 to 45 range that is reasonably priced for all you get. The interior is refined and well thought out. The exterior is reflective of forward, thinking, and edginess that makes it an eye turner. The seats are very comfortable, particularly with the lumbar support. Additionally, the car sits high enough off the ground to allow entry and exit with ease

Santa Fee Review

This is a good car as far as fuel economy but with great acceleration. The car feels safe and comfortable to drive. Great exterior and interior design. Good value vehicle. The only problem is the heater. So I wouldn’t recommend for anyone who lives in a cold climate.

Good quality, resonable price

I bought this vehicle for both everyday driving and long road trips. It is very comfortable to ride in. The storage capacity is good for its class, especially if you get the cross beams so that you can use the luggage rack. Got the hybrid as a balance between climate impact and drive range (I drive from Nebraska to Arizona at least once a year). Fuel economy is better for longer drives than for shorter ones. I don't like how Hyundai only offers Tire Mobility kits, no spare tire. I may be more than 100 miles from the nearest town and have no cell coverage when I shred a tire so having a spare is a must for me. Thankfully I was able to negotiate with my dealer and get a fullsize, complete, tire and wheel. Once I pulled the Styrofoam storage insert out of the under area in the trunk there was plenty of room to store the wheel out of the way but still easy to reach when I need it.

Like the handling and great gas mileage. Very comfortable driving and plenty of room for luggage. Like the looks and options that came with the model. Love the sun roof and split screen which allows for the map and radio selection at the same time

Overall is good

Everything is good except the final purchase price is over my budget. My biggest concern is the gas and mileage. As in Hawaii, gas is crazy expensive. Now per tank gas could reach to 500 miles. The engine also very quiet, and smooth

The hybrid doesn't get good gas mileage, nowhere near the sticker. It gets worse mileage on the highway, in cold weather and just overall. The price for the vehicle is too much for it to get terrible gas mileage.

Safe, economic, stylish

This is my first Hyundai and I am still getting used to the differences in interior features (radio, navigation, etc) use from my previous vehicle (I have only driven GM-35 years). It is a learning curve for ME-nothing negative about Hyundai. This Tucson runs smooth, quiet, and has great 'pick up' if I need it. And the MPG is amazing!! and I need that now.

Everything I Hoped It Would Be!

I got the Hyundai Tucson Hybrid and it's everything I had hoped it would be. The mpg is true 37 at a minimum, the shift between driving modes is very smooth, and the handling of the car is fantastic. The car is spacious, doesn't feel cramped, and is very easy to get in and out of. If there was any complaint I had, it would be the horn associated with reversing out of somewhere. I don't mind this feature, however, since I understand it is useful for letting pedestrians know your intention when leaving a busy parking lot even if it is a little loud.

Fun comfortable hybrid

We feel that the build quality is solid, with a quiet cabin, and good performance from the Hybrid system. Enjoy the advanced electronics and modern features. The Tucson Limited Hybrid is a joy to drive and ride in.
