I love the vehicle overall, but it has some quirks that drive me crazy, such as not being able to default to off the front forward warnings.

I went to Inver Grove Hyundai, met with Debbie A. and in less than 4 hours, I was driving the car of my dreams!! While Debbie listened patiently, I told her some of the issues I’ve had at other dealerships, with other Sales People. And, I told her all the things I wanted in my new car. And , in less than 4 hours I was driving the car I’ve wanted for over 30 years. The difference wasn’t in what I said, it was in the Sales Peron’s ability or choice to listen. Debbie heard me. Go to Inver Grove Hyundai, ask for Debbie Anderson and she will get you into the vehicle you must have.. From start to finish, it has taken 8+ hours to find a car, at a price I can afford. It took Debbie under 4 hours to find me the perfect car at a price price I can afford. It’s taken 30+ yrs, to have the perfect (for me) car. And I couldn’t have done it without Debbie A. @ Inver Grove Hyundai.

I like the car, wish it would have a few options. We could add such as garage door opener memory seats and the place to put your sunglasses. Also, the brakes seem to be an issue as there is a ton of brake dust.

Fun to drive, technologically advanced…maybe too advanced

Driving the car for less than three months so far and it is quite enjoyable. It has better acceleration and driving response than the 2019 Hyundai Sonata Limited I was previously driving. It feels lighter and more nimble in every way. The miles per gallon is slightly better as well (but I only have 1400 miles on it so far). I have received many compliments on the overall styling, and the wheel rim design specifically. As far as things I do not like and would like to see improved: 1. A larger gas tank. Going from an 18+ gallon tank to a 15.9 gallon tank is still an uncomfortable change. 2. The interior is listed as light grey but it really is closer to an ivory white. Lighter shades are desirable given the high amounts of sunshine where I live. But such a light color leaves it susceptible to getting dirty very easily. 3. I despise having to log in every time I turn the car on. Consider allowing a default boot up setting. DO NOT go to using facial recognition. 4. I much prefer the volume and station control being on the left side of the steering wheel. If I am driving with only one hand on the wheel, it is mostly my left. And if I am adjusting anything, it is mostly the music and not the cruise control. 5. I miss being able to lock my doors using the button on the inside of the driver’s side door when exiting and leaving the car. 6. CarPlay has had issues properly connecting or remaining connected on about four different occasions. I cannot figure out if there is a common cause to this happening. 7. It would be nice if there was a shallow tray that could be moved/removed from the storage space under the armrest, rather than just the deep and long space that is there. 8. I am disappointed that other features for the car can only be accessed through the app. I will not download the app due to distrust of companies tracking, collecting personalized data, and then selling or misusing that data. I am already unhappy with the extent that Apple and Google do it (and others), and do not want more on board. 9. Why is the key fob so big? That would be much better if half the size. 10. The back edge of the hood is too close to the windshield wipers. The wipers cannot be lifted off of the windshield to a full extension.

Decided to give Hyundai a chance and so far am very impressed!

As our Malibu was getting up there in age and miles, we were looking for a car to replace it. Not really sure the direction we would go-although ford and chevy have discontinued their car brands mostly-we just stumbled upon an older Sonata parked in front of a planet fitness. It was an older model but we liked the look and so we went to a Hyundai dealer. The 2026 Sonata in the showroom was beautiful. Very sporty and also had a lot of new tech features we weren"t used to having. We bought one almost immediately. It drives just like the malibu and is a solid car in this age of SUV's. Being my first foreign car purchase I was leery but the dealer was superb and the car is just great! I would definitely look at the Hyundai brand and Sonatas if looking for another car!

Terrible driver attention warning

It is terrible not to be able to turn off the driver attention warning. Needs to be fixed in a software update.

Love it!

I love the new Hyundai Sonata 2026. I traded in my 2013 Sonata. It’s like comparing apples to oranges-totally different. I’m still getting use to some of the fancy features but it rides smooth and has a lot of safety features.

Some good, some not so good.

Overall look is great along with new features. However I was disappointed in a few aspects of the new design. One in particular is the location of the start button and the radio button. They are way too close together. You can literally hit tge car start button while trying to turn on your radio while driving. I think this is very dangerous. The phone and GPS features were better in my 2023 Sonata. The seating is improved and it is not as noisy when driving on the highway. It does have a better storage area in between seats and cup rests are bigger. Overall above average over my 2023 and 2020 but I thought my 2017 Sonata was the best!!
