Car broke down before 3,000 miles

I went on a road trip with the vehicle and on my way back I kept smelling oil and burning. I checked didn’t see anything. Then it started hesitating after going up hills it was pushing back. All the dealerships were closed so I was trying to get back home to NC from any before something crazy happened like getting stranded on the side of the road. Once I hit flat ground the issues stopped all of a sudden. I stopped to get gas and when I turned the car back on it started shaking aggressively and back firing. Wires were burning. Not what I’d expect from a brand new car. And the engine light of course popped up. Worst buying Experience ever.

One of the best car buying experiences!

I’ve been fortunate enough to buy several new vehicles in my lifetime. There’s some truth in the saying “You get what you paid for”. But whether you pay $20,000 or $100,000 for your new vehicle the most important part of the equation is the service after the sale. To me a car is only as good as the warranty and service backing the vehicle. A 10 year 100,000 mile warranty says it all. If I finance a vehicle for 6 years I have the comfort of knowing that it will still be under warranty after it’s paid off, unlike the 3 year 36,000 mile warranty on most vehicles. I personally don’t want to pay for an extended warranty on a vehicle that isn’t even paid for yet. All this being said, Hyundai’s warranty is proven as effective as the company itself.

It is very reliable.

It is very nice and modern looking. It’s comfortable to me and drives really smooth. The radio is good and the seats are okay. The design is very beautiful and unique to other vehicles that are on the market

Broke down before 1st oil change

Car exceeded expectations until around mile 2700 when without warning it didn’t start one morning. Dealer says fuel pipe/pump broke, and needed to order parts to replace. My brand new car has been there for two weeks now, still awaiting repair.

I’ve enjoyed my new sonata. It’s the first sedan I’ve driven in years and so far I enjoy it very much. It had good leg room for my family and my kids love the huge sunroof it has. I’m sure we will purchase another at some point in time.

It’s a great car & would recommend to others

It’s a great car, it drives really smooth. The exterior & interior are extremely awesome. Other than the issue with my paint. Other than that, very satisfied. I would definitely recommend this car to others.

Very happy with my sonata

Happy with the way the dealership treated me. Thrilled with my new car. Will continue buying huyndai products. This is my forth one. They just keep getting better. I have no reason to look at other dealerships.

Great bang for the buck

I traded in a 2013 Infiniti G37–the Sonata has so many more bells and whistles, plus it drives extremely well. The gas mileage is great. The buying experience at Fitzgerald Rockville with Tong Liu was superior to Infiniti and Acura (prior cars).

Luxury feel, low price

2023 Sonata provides a smooth and quiet ride. Fit and finish are excellent. Interior controls are easy to use and understand. Climate control works quickly and we'll. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quality sedan

Love my Sonata

I really enjoy my Sonata. Comfortable ride, great sound system, and a good looking car. Also, for the price and warranty, a good value purchase. I get a lot of compliments on this car and the panoramic sunroom is a little piece of happiness every day!

Love It

Very sleek looking outside, and inside too. More comfortable that our Camry Hybrid ...getting 42 mpg on highway...same as the hybrid, but won't have to replace a very expensive battery!!! (One reason we traded for a new car) Great sounding stereo.

The length of this survey is rediculously long.

Love the car, hate the length of the survey. Had I know it would be this long I would have just deleted it. Will be interested to see if anyone contacts me about the Heads Up Display problem I identified.

It's the best car I've purchased

I've owned many cars, including Mercedes, and my Sonata is every bit as great and even more than it was. The lines are better and it has more features that I could possible use...but I do plan on trying them all out. My car is amazing!!!

Never thought I’d own a sedan

The Sonata N1 Line is stunning, has extremely comfortable seats, a beautiful interior display and console, and the overall style of the car is above expectations. I’ve had three other Hyundais, and I’m very satisfied with the quality for the price.

Nice features but not a Avalon

Like all of the advance features, but acceleration from 0 to 30 is choppy. Either too slow or too fast. Also seat is roomy but hard. Previous two cars were Toyota Avalon. This doesn't match a Avalon engine and ride.

Sonata N-Line

Sharp car, excellent performance, outstanding safety features. Car needs more interior storage space. Those seats in the N-line are nice once you get in them but a pain to get in and out of, car needs a memory seat, else you are moving the seat back and forth on your own.

The headrest is killing me

Everything else about the car is overshadowed by this one problem. The headrest pushes your head about 3" too far forward, and I literally arrive in pain if I drive more than 20 minutes. The headrest is not adjustable. Until I find a third party solution, I will be in regret mode for not realizing this during the test drive.

the car is gorgeous and sexy on the inside very fast and fun plan to keep her for awhile replaced by other car was fantastic which was the Sonata limited go to take a while to get used to fell in love with it right off the bat

Great car. Great styling. Great features

I was looking to replace my Cadillac DTS. I owned a Hyundai and 2 Kia products in the past. I knew they were reliable vehicles. I am not an SUV guy. I like sedans. The new Hyundai Sonata has beautiful styling, especially for a mainstream mid-size sedan. I have been impressed with not only the styling, but the tech and overall quality of the car.
