A flagship sedan Hyundai is ashamed of
The Hyundai Sonata N line is a car that I feel Hyundai is ashamed of. It's a great driver, it's got fantastic styling, the interior is roomy and comfortable but also sporty. But the N line cannot be purchased with all the options of the other Sonatas (Parking assist). It lacks a 4 wheel drive option. I feel like this vehicle was built as a compromise so as to not steal the G80's market. But I'm not in the market for a Genesis, and would probably go with a different brand, most likely Lexus or Mercedes. I would pay $2000 more for an all wheel drive system, and I would pay $5000 more again for a six cylinder engine. Hyundai's design team did a fantastic job with the physical car, but the infotainment system is only good with Apple Carplay. Otherwise it's totally rubbish. I work in a lot of big corporations and I can smell the stench of "Well, I play golf with the guy who sold me these terrible maps, so we're going to use them". I know that google maps isn't used in South Korea, but in the US this just looks tacky and cheap.
Also, the Hyundai design team has done wonderful with the Hyundai N Vision 74. So when you get inside the Sonata N line and the digital dash comes up it's utterly shocking how terrible it is. It looks like it's half 2003 skeuomorphic fake analog dials with an incredibly ugly fake shadow effect. If I buy a digital dashboard, I want it to look like a digital dashboard. I want Hyundai to remind me that I'm in a futuristic techno-barge. What they delivered is a bargain basement design that's half fake gauges and half industrial plant monitoring system. You have managed to make a boost pressure gauge boring. Your font choice is terrible, the white on black is miserable. And the night mode should be changing colors to all red like BMW to be easy on the eyes, not just dimming it. Also, never place a picture of the car in the infotainment system. I know what the car looks like, I'm in it! You don't need to advertise the car to me in the car.
