Better than I expected

I went with the Hybrid version and Calligraphy trim and the car is fully loaded with any and every luxury feature I could want. I love the seats and the comfort and the driving position. An absolutely excellent car.

Great features for a standard model

Vehicle has some great innovative features, which can be looked at in a couple of ways. First off with the bluelink there are some awesome options to tinker with. It will take some time to get used to your vehicle if you've never driven one. High tech for standard model which has nice safety features for new generation of drivers that makes it easier to be hands free, but on the downside I feel it may encourage drivers to rely on vehicle tech to save them and encourage phone use in other ways. Bluelink also works well as an anti theft device as Hyundai took the physical keys in a smaller more compact way and you can track where your vehicle is at with bluelink. The subscription for bluelink is a reasonable price as well. Updating has had some issues though, I keep seeing it appear in the display but it won't allow me to touch the update button before it disappears. Drives smooth, turns a little bit tight but you get used to it. Nice storage space for a mid size as well, could be a little taller though.

Great Vehicle For a Great Price!

I never thought I would buy a Hyundai. Then I test drove the 2026 Santa Fe Hybrid Calligraphy H-Trac. Very tight fit and finish, large cargo space in the rear (with 3rd row seats lowered), quiet and responsive hybrid drive system, and fully loaded at a great price! And it was highly rated by both Consumer Reports and Car and Driver (look them up)! If you do your homework and compare the Santa Fe to other SUVs in the same class with 3rd row seating, I think you'll like this vehicle as much as I do! Highly recommend this vehicle!

Excellent vehicle. App sucks.

I love everything about the vehicle. It’s comfortable, gets great mileage, rides nice, interior is awesome, tech is intuitive, and it looks sharp. My only complaint is the mobile app. I’m coming from a Tesla and their app blows the Hyundai app out of the water. It takes forever to unlock the doors sometimes. It freezes. It’s slow.

Never again

I used to love Hyundai until I got the 2026 Santa Fe hybrid. The hybrid part is nice to have but the amount of technical issues I’ve had in the 4 months I’ve owned it is ridiculous! This was my dream car but now it’s my nightmare. Never again will I own a Hyundai after this.

Destroyed my expectations for Hyundai and SUV's

I absolutely love the 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe SEL Hybrid. It has been a solid vehicle and feels premium when driving. It is comfortable and the interior is great. The outside is great. I like the boxy look. The only negatives I have at all is the back looks ugly and I wish it added a spare tire under the vehicle next to the muffler in the back. While it is ugly, I love the shape of the back for hauling. I just think the tail lights and design could have been moved around to look more appealing.

Great but with one major flaw

I love the looks, the comfort, and the ride. The screens are great. On flat roads on the interstate, driving on my own with no extra luggage, I struggle to get more than 28mpg. My only real complaint is that if you wear sunglasses that are a bit dark, the "consider taking a break" bell goes off, and the screen flashes at you every few minutes. It makes highway driving into the sun a real chore and keeps anyone from taking a nap while you are driving. Your choice is to ruin your eyes or hear the alarm go off all the time. The Hyundai Forums are full of complaints about this, and had I known about it before I purchased the vehicle, I would have chosen something else.

Overall a great and comfortable car.

Overall, the car is very comfortable and fun to drive. I would just point out that there are a few minor electronic details that didn't seem to be well thought out when engineered and designed. One is the door handle and keyless entry. I had the previous Santa Fe Sport from 2013 and it was very simple to open keyless by just pressing the door handle button. On this new one, I have had this car for 3 months now and it is hit or miss and just doesn't seem to respond well. Sometimes, it will open and then close again and the most confusing part is opening the door from the passenger side doors. Occasionally, I just give up and have to pull out my key remote to just unlock the door. This should be happening. Also, the garage door opener under the rearview mirror does not work when the engine is off. This can be very inconvenient for those of us who occasionally need to stay in the car to either take a call or do something on the phone. Unless we keep the engine on (which I would not want to do in the garage), I am unable to close the garage door because the opener becomes deactivated. My previous Santa Fe was still able to use the garage opener even after my car was turned off.
