We like the car but we don’t like how many recalls we have had. We have another one that we just got a letter in the mail about. That will make 4 now in a little over a year!

Amazing vehicle - SO happy with my decision!

This SUV is amazing. The ride is one of the most comfortable I've ever had, and with chronic back pain, that's saying a LOT! All the little thoughts, features, touches are truly class-leading and I constantly get comments about how it feels like a luxury SUV. I only have 2 comments/complaints on the Santa Fe. 1) You can't lift the wipers to clean snow out from under them easily and it's very frustrating 2) There's a rattle noise that many Calligraphy owners experience that appears to come from the passenger side B-pillar area and NO ONE knows what it is or how to fix it. The dealer has tried 4 times now....they hear it, the agree it's not normal, but they cannot find the source. They've pulled apart the B-pillar, the rear captain's chair, wiring harness, etc and cannot find the source.

Great car for the money but a few things drive us nuts...

When car shopping, we compared the Santa Fe to the Kia Telluride, VW Atlas, etc. For the sale price vs feature set, we felt the Santa Fe was the winner. We opted for the top of line model and would recommend it: bucket second row seats, sunroof, better rims, etc. The biggest drawback are some of the electronic features. such as the "keyless entry" using your smart phone instead of an actual key. it works 50 percent of the time. and then, ALL THE ALERTS! You cannot believe all the alerts - proximity, parking, etc. And heaven forbid you turn your head while driving, as you'll get a pop up coffee mug icon "Hey, time to take a break?" Ugg. Just went overboard there. Overall, we love the car, and are glad we bought it. Maintenance routine so far.

2024 White Hybrid Limited Arizona at 15,000 mi.

Very smooth and quiet vehicle with 34-38 MPG city and 32-34 MPG freeway. Adequate power and handling for large vehicle. Roomy and very functional space. Nice features on the Limited. Some glitches in infotainment and climate control. Vehicle is also has a very complicated drivetrain which requires (IMO) oil changes at 5000 mi and use of detergent gas only. Jury is still out on short and long term reliability.

Don’t buy.

In one year, 23000 miles it was in garage five times. As I would be driving, no matter the speed it would throw itself in neutral. Only way I could go neutral. I would have to stop it turn off and turn on but all the idiot lights stayed on I would never recommend a Hyundai to anybody. Their customer service was below average not very understanding and could care less about how you felt. I have bought six Hyundai’s in the last 10 years and she didn’t care went out and got a Toyota and I’m very happy.

Almost Perfect

I really enjoy my 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid. Build quality, styling and performance are very good. The areas I'm less enthused about are disappointing fuel economy, poor Android Auto integration, and unacceptable dealership response to resolving an as-delivered vibration problem.

Great car for theprice

I have bought several Santa Fe’s but this one I very much enjoy driving and I love the new model. I can’t believe all the bells and whistles that you get on this car for the price. My dog totally enjoys the backseat when we go on road trips I always have to laugh when I have a group of my friends come in the car and they’re sitting in the backseat and they say to me, you have your heated seats on and I would tell them no you guys must’ve turned them on yourself. They look at the button and they are and we all laugh the sound system in the GPS system is so high grade. I have the hybrid and this is my first hybrid I ever had so I try to compete to see how many miles I can get on a gas fill up so I guess it’s a game..

Great new design, comfortable, needs wiper fluid for back window

Overall a good vehicle. Would I buy again? Probably. The UV cleaner in the upper glove compartment - seems like a waste of time/energy/development costs, etc. I realize it was born in Covid-era... but just seems odd. I have a place for 2 cordless chargers, but the package I bought only has 1 of the chargers hooked up. I understand making certain features available for more cost but come on man... You can't tell me that the cord to hook up the passenger's cordless charger on the center island between the front and passenger seats couldn't have just been hooked up for any package that had the driver's side hooked up? Back window has a wiper, great! However... back wiper doesn't have a fluid reservoir....... So I get to smudge all the dirt around using the wiper, making it actually harder to see out the back window... Super awesome..... There are hooks behind the driver's seat for putting grocery bags on, making it so the bags don't spill while driving. Why would there not be the same thing in the very back/trunk area? Would be GREAT to have the ability to record from the cameras around the vehicle like a Tesla, so if there was damage done to the vehicle, we could look at the footage to see what actually happened. The digital shifting into gear on the steering column seems a little wimpy... plastic. Not solid. Overall - I like the car.

Worst Experience Ever - No More Hyundai

The lease was terminated prematurely due to persistent and erratic vehicle behavior originating from the front bumper flapper and front dash system. After a dashboard fault code appeared, the vehicle was taken to a local Hyundai dealer, where it remained out of service for approximately two months. Per the service lead, the issue required replacement of the entire dashboard wiring harness and escalation to Hyundai’s technical team for troubleshooting, indicating a systemic design or integration failure rather than an isolated defect. During this period, the customer was not provided transparent or complete information regarding the scope or severity of the issue. As an electrical engineer with prior automotive industry experience, it is evident that the vehicle suffers from poor design-for-assembly (DFA) and integration issues within the front dash architecture, including systems related to active collision avoidance, front-facing cameras, and associated sensors. These appear to be inherent design flaws rather than service-induced failures. A formal request for lease termination was submitted to Hyundai and denied. As a result, we elected to immediately dispose of the vehicle and transition to a Lexus. Based on this experience, I will not consider Hyundai vehicles in the future.

Great car! Minor items I wish they would change.

I love this car as does my husband. They did a great remodel of the 2023 Santa Fe and I love how the exterior looks. It's spacious, has a night front dashboard that's easy to use, a lot of storage up front, and room for the 3rd row seaters. Some things that bother me is that the trunk space is very small when the 3rd row is up making it hard for road trips. It also doesn't have heat to the 3rd row- only cold air control. It also has some things that would be nice to fix with the smart controls such as a "bike rack" mode so it doesn't automatically stop on you when you back up.
