Early Problems

Replaced a 2021 SF Hybrid that had ecu problems with this 2023 SF Hybrid. Total brake failure at 3350+ miles. Been at dealer for 30 days so far with no information as to what is to be fixed or when. Poor communications.

I’ve been through 46 vehicles. This vehicle as with other Hondas I’ve owned gives you a lot for the price. Very pleased with it. So far in the first month. Can’t wait to see how it pairs down the road.

Overpriced Good looking Mid size SUV!

It's not at all worth Market Adjustment price. Lacks tons of interior features like wireless CarPlay and wireless charger is joke. Ride quality is good but it is because of soft rubber and low load capacity factory installed tire (which will wear out in less than 10,000 miles!). Google maps or Apple Maps on CarPlay lags like anything and not at all reliable to reach on destination. Lags for more than a mile sometimes! The issue lingers for a while and neither Hyundai nor apple tried to fix it. Waste of money and disappointment for $55,000 car. Leg room and head room in both rows are decent. Cargo space is better but less due to battery pack under the cargo cover.

No way to easily accommodate spare tire

After spending $43k on a vehicle. Having to buy a $400 tire hoist to carry a spare is unacceptable. Will not buy a vehicle in the future that requires this nonsense. In the Tucson a full size spare will fit easily below the cargo floor. The Santa Fe has more under floor storage but broken into two compartments. Neither will accommodate a spare. Tire mobility kits are garbage and don't do anything in a large amount of blowouts.

Overall beautiful car with a few quirks

Love the beauty and how comfortable the car is. It was my dream car that I was resetting for a while just a little disappointed in my gas mileage. I have a little hesitation, going from a stop on a hill and wish the rain sensing wipers or more sensitive other than that it’s a beautiful car and hope to get some of the kinks worked out.

Great Vehicle for the money!

This is my first new car and wanted a hybrid engine. For the features you get and safety rating and price it’s definitely a great value! The space is generous and the interior build feels luxurious. I definitely recommend looking into this vehicle.

Parking brake engages

Unsafe on the road. While driving, the parking brake engages by itself. It has been at dealership garage longer than I have driven it. Hyundai USA case number 20866603 escalated. I have not had a case manager contact me not once not at all. Neither has the dealership garage contacted me. I need another new hybrid limited AWD SUV.

2023 Santa Fe hybrid Limited

We’ve owned this car about a month and for the most part it’s been great. It has tons of tech features, rides smoothly, and has wonderful fuel efficiency. We have however come to find out several annoyances that were not disclosed to us prior to purchasing the car. First, as this is a hybrid, when the car is put in reverse, it emits an exceptionally loud beeping noise from a speaker under the hood. This is an alert for pedestrians so we understand why it exists, however the beeping is so loud we’ve grown accustomed to parking in pull through spots whenever possible so we don’t have to worry about reversing and startling anyone. When pulling out of our driveway we worry that we’ll wake up the neighbors. It’s frustrating as other hybrid makers have found solutions for this that don’t equate to the sound of a service truck backing up. Secondly, while wireless Apple CarPlay exists on lower end models, it apparently isn’t available in our limited model. This is a huge annoyance as we have to manually hard wire our phones into the car in order to use CarPlay. This is compounded by the fact that even though there is a usb port hidden under the center console that’s perfect for tucking phones away, it can’t be used for CarPlay integration - you’re forced to use the usb port that is front and center on the console, meaning we have a long cable dangling down by our console at all times. It’s almost insulting that our top of the line model doesn’t have a simple feature that lower end models have. Finally, after fueling the car for the very first time, our check engine light came on. No big deal - called the dealership and brought it in to be fixed. After an hour we were told that they can’t fix it and we’d have to bring it back for a full diagnostic. Only issue is the shop can’t fit us in for a month and after they diagnose it they’ll have to order the necessary parts, only for us to bring it back for a third time to have it fully fixed. We understand that new cars can sometimes have issues, but after being sold white glove service, it’s frustrating to see that we have to wait this long on a fix while being inconvenienced and having to bring the car in 3 separate times. We’re first time Hyundai buyers and we want to love this car - but our experiences thus far have left a sour taste in our mouths. We just hope that we can get this car fixed and maybe future software updates can address the aforementioned annoyances. For anyone considering purchasing this vehicle, be aware that there may be frustrating things waiting for you on the other side.

Smoothest ride I have ever had. Limited trim of Hybrid had everything you could think of. I feel sometimes the car is "too smart". MPG so far is meeting expectations. Love the LCD dashboard display. Overall a very good car. So far loving lt!!

Poor initial reliability

Upon delivery, bluelink would not work. Dealer could not get it to work. Several times the hybrid battery level went to 0. Infotainment system slow and unresponsive. Had a turbo boost failure. All within first month. Vehicle was at dealer for 2 weeks for repairs.

When you look at it the stormy blue color it is the first thing you notice and the most talked about with friends. When traveling with my nieces and nephews. They like the blinds in the back so they can sleep. Makes them almost as happy when they don't get shotgun.

Santa Fe Hybrid is Wonderful!

Love the 2023 Santa Fe Hybrid. Transition from gas to electric and back is seamless. Getting 34 mpg is double my previous car's mileage. Vehicle is very tight and ride is smooth. Handling is precise and predictable. Uncertainty of charging an all electric vehicle on the road and their limited mileage brought us to the Santa Fe Hybrid with a range of 550+ miles. So far, the 2023 Hybrid has exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend this vehicle.

Took three weeks to locate a hybrid vehicle in stock for me to test drive and purchase. Wasn’t able to negotiate price in this economy, so I felt pressured to buy outside of my budget range and settle for financing.
