I have a couple of issues that are a real nuisance. 1. Locking of doors, every time my passenger or I try to get into the back seat, the door is locked. Basically I want to see a setting that allows all doors to be unlocked whenever the drivers door is unlocked. 2. The controls on the door (locks, windows) are not lite when the door is opened. I can’t see how to unlock passenger door at night. Actually I have 3 major complaints. The third may be lack of research on my part before buying vehicle. We bought this vehicle primarily for travel. I should not have bought a hybrid. I have learned driving at highway speeds in a hybrid does nothing for gas mileage. Hybrids are made for stop and go in town on low speed trips and not highway driving.

A lot of bang for the buck

Overall, we’ve been pleased with the car. For a lower trim level, we got a lot of great value. Lots of features that make it a safe family hauler for a reasonable price. We mainly went with this one because of the standard safety features that aren’t offered on competing vehicles for a lower price point. Pretty good gas mileage with the hybrid. Main con for me are the aesthetics. It’s an ugly car. Incredibly functional but ugly. It’s a minor point. I wished I had waited for the 24 model year for that. Otherwise, great car. No issues so far.

FABULOUS VEHICLE!!!

When my husband said it was time for me to purchase a new vehicle, I really didn't want a new one. I was comfortable driving my Jeep Patriot which has been very dependable. I didn't want a bunch of new features, just wanted to stay simple. BUT, it was time because the Jeep was getting up in miles. My husband researched and thought the Santa Fe Hybrid would be a good choice. He was right. I love it and I am very happy with the extra safety features. It's comfortable, quiet and pretty decent on gas mileage.

Good Vehicle

Worth for its price and features but wonder its resale values is low when I tried to exchange car with new version of same model which came in with in 6 months in the same show room. Hybrid milage is very low on freeways even if we drive on standard speed approx. 28m/g. Local milage also fluctuates based on gas percentage in the tank. Overall good vehicle for its price. I have recommended to my friends and family. Thanks!

Overall I like it, but not sure I would buy one again

Has been a very reliable and comfortable car so far, just a few quirky things I don't enjoy (see cons). The biggest being a lack of power at times when accelerating from a stop. It doesn't happen all the time, but it feels like I can't trust it if I really need a quick burst of acceleration. Maybe because we drive in Eco-mode? The backup beeping is so obnoxiously loud, I feel like I need to apologize to my neighbors if I back into my garage late at night! Most other hybrids don't beep when backing up. Over 100 mile decrease per tank in mileage during cold weather, maybe this is average, but it seems like more.

Our 2023 Santa Fe Hybrid

We absolutely love our Santa Fe hybrid which we named Harmony! We “rescue” groceries at Ralph’s and Bristol Farms in Newport Beach for the Laguna Food Pantry every Thursday and are so thankful that we have room for so much that would otherwise be sent to the landfill! Harmony is comfortable, quiet and enjoyable to drive on short and long trips. This is our second Hyundai and we’re highly recommending Tustin fir sakes and service!

So many creaks and noises

Right away, this vehicle is noisy inside. Not from road noise but from poor clips that loosen right after driving off the lot. The dash creaks, the center console creaks, the clips that “hold” cups in the cup holders creak. It’s the most annoying vehicle I’ve owned because of this and won’t be purchasing another Hyundai. At 10k miles, the windshield washer reservoir began to leak and the Hyundai dealer said “you’ll need to fix that” and proceeded to tell me the cost on the repair, even though it’s covered under warranty but Hyundai doesn’t see it as a warranted item. At 46k miles, the heater fan is on the fritz. Such a lemon of a vehicle and a waste of money.

Utter Disappointment

My vehicle was transported to the dealer on Oct 13th for repairs. It is now December 22nd, and the car is still not operational. This will be the last hybrid I own and Hyundai vehicle I purchase! At first, they told me it was my 12v battery which was replaced and I will need to pay for. This did not resolve the issue. Next, they finally received approval to replace the hybrid battery which did not solve the issue. Now they are waiting for the starter generator unit to arrive on 12/29. I have zero confidence in this vehicle now. I am positive I will not get a detailed description of the root cause of the problem. Hyundai Corporate Care has been useless. They ask me if I have an update from the dealership when they call.
